Like it or not for fighters navigating the current state of the sport it is much, much worse for their earning power to lose a fight. Sure we'd be more entertained if they didn't care but in most cases that's attitude is destructive for them as human beings with the way things are set up

Ducking can save your life though. It saved mine.
If I didn’t duck, the brick that my ex wife threw at my head would most probably have shattered my skull. arf arf.

Sorry it’s 5.30 in the morning…far too early for my best work!

Ducking is always cowardly, losing never is.

The way Fury has been ducking Usyk for a year now is shameful and inexcusable.

how is a lose bad for they earning power? Canelo has a loss and is the highest paid in the sport the fact of the matter is a loss don’t matter who you fight matters

To fans it seems it's losing a fight, protect the 0 at all costs, hence all the ducking.

Amir Khan springs to mind. Lots of losses but hardly ducked anyone.

To duck a man 70 pounds lighter than you would be unforgivable and I'd commit seppuku at even the thought of such an occurrence.

    Depends.
If you look at it from a record, loosing a fight. People will forget they "ducked" this fighter or that.
But, your record will always in the history... Yea, he got KTFO against this or lost against that..
