Ok.. I can see people are missing my point of this thread... I am stating that i know how Clottey fights and I fully understand that. But What I am stating is knowing that this is YOUR FINAL CHANCE AT ANY BIG FIGHT, Why wouldn't you lay it all out on the line and actually try to throw punches?? I mean if I was in that situation or any of you guys were in the situation wouldn't you lay everything you have on the line and leave it inside the ring??
his purse should be with-held. He basically got several million dollars for standing there with his hands in front of his face. Anyone could have done that.
He does the same as he always does. Little or no imagination and it has justified my every post that begs why he is so overrated. He either just didn't throw or wasn't good enough to cope, but it seems as if he had no gameplan from the outset.
Clottey doesn't open up with anyone. Was his unwillingness to open up on a tired, and nearly blind Cotto also because he was afraid of being Hattonized? THAT IS HOW CLOTTEY FIGHTS.
Clottey did a couple of times and landed good shots, probably the best of the night and Pac's face showed the signs. Just too bad they were few and far between.
Its his only chance to beat pac. Take that chance and maybe land a KO punch. He aint gonna win fighting like that for 12 rounds.
I agree Clottey was landing flush when he did let loose, but was scared on what was coming back at him.
I was hoping he was going to have a go in the final few rounds, his corner man told him he had lost every round yet he still held his hands up high and made no attempt to go for the win. Perhaps he didn't have the stamina to have a go in the end but it was still a big disappointment.
That's the "great wall of Ghana". It's how he does, it's not very exciting, and it will fail under constant stress. He's basically Winky minus the hand speed.
he threw that fight, its not possible that he would just stand there in his shell for the whole duration of the fight
Ultimately, fighters will be exactly what they've always been. He entered the ring with no strategy and fought the same way he always does. Difference is tonight he fought a guy who for some reason never got tired.
