what is wrong with the middleweight division

His Promoters could stepped and showed "replay" what other boxers said about Golovkin and asked to back up their words or wacant their titles. But they do not work good enough for their money. Even Golovkin opened his own promotion company!!!

From Sturm "Golovkin not ready" and Quillin's "I sparred Golovkin and can beat him", to Soliman's recent words that his style is no match for Golovkin

Golovkin finished amateur in 2004. It is hilarious that no champ did give Golovkin single chance. it is almost 10 years left. His style haven't changed at all. He could beat Sturm, Abraham in 2006 as he can do it now.

I think Golovkin will end up fighting Khytrov, Eubank or other young strong prospects, instead of belts unification

But in all honesty in those guys shoes, I'd also stay the f away from GGG unless they offered me a **** ton of cash.

 

They could make few millions. Just do fight in Germany or his native Kazakhstan, or UK, or even Australia. I think they can gather full sport arena there.

 

Murray is one of the most pathetic he was the mandatory and refused his shot at Golovkins title.

 

Problem is though, they need to look at the bigger picture. In all likelehood all are getting KO'd by Golovkin.

For a guy like Qullin, he disappear into irrelevance. He'd make good money for the GGG fight alone, but he won't do after he becomes just another victim of the GGG Juggernaut, plus taken shots like that will significantly shorten your career.

If looking for one last big payday Strum or Soliman could take it. Possibly Martinez too.

Cotto has even bigger money fights available to him, so if I was his adviser, I'd instruct him to stay clear- people can give him **** about it on here but if any of them told me in Cotto's shoes right now they fight Golovkin, they be either a fool or a liar.

Just that there is one dominant fighter in it that nobody else looks capable of beating. Same thing happened during Monzon and Hagler's reigns.

 

Truly, completely pathetic. But yeah this is the MW division for you, everyone ducking one guy, before they had excuse of him not being a draw, now apart from Cotto he's probably the biggest draw in the division and they still refuse to fight him, it's quite amusing. The state that boxing is in is just shocking.

 

Well I don't agree with pathetic but Murray doesn't even hide the fact he's scared of Golovkin, he basically near enough says it in interviews

 

A lot of them say they are the best middleweight.
Seems like only one guy really wants to prove it.

 

Geale wanted to proved it, and fought GGG. History shows he fell well short. But to his credit he stepped up and gave it a shot.

 

Nobody with anything to lose wants to step up and fight Golovkin at the moment, he simply looks unbeatable at 160lbs. The rest of the division is pretty weak and Golovkin doesn't present a big enough payday for the inevitable loss to GGG. It's a pretty sad state, if Golovkin cannot get the other champions to face him there is little he can do other than keep winning against those who are willing to face him.

 

Reasonable summary. Dominant fighters have comes along and cleaned out divisions before and no doubt it will happen again. Just a part of boxing.

 

The middleweights of today are showing exactly why as a body of fighters the fighters of the past are the better men

 

Its hard to compare era's. The business side of boxing has taken over the "warrior" side. If you look at SRR's era they were fighting once a month and going through murderers row for little pay. Now it seems its about building up your stock and taking the easiest route possible to a title.
