Yes without a doubt but he was a good fighter, what is interesting is how easy it is to pick a top ten but how hard it is to pick the next five.
I find it hard to believe no one has Michael Moorer on their list he was lineal champ and for my money in his prime he defeats Tubbs, Witherspoon and others that people have listed maybe Chris Byrd too.
suzieq49 you have holmes on the second place(ahead of lewis) in top 15 hw's still alive, yet on your all time top 10 hw's you have lewis ahead of holmes??
1 Muhammad Ali 2 Larry Holmes 3 Lennox Lewis 4 Evander Holyfield 5 George Foreman 6 Joe Frazier 7 Vitali Klischko 8 Riddick Bowe 9 Mike Tyson 10 Wladimir Klischko 11 Michael Moorer 12 James Toney 13 Andrew Golota 14 Sultan Ibragimov 15 Ruslan Chagaev
My question too..if a guy is still alive and has been retired for 15 years, he's just as irrelevant to the scene today as a dead man.
First off, lets hope all of the below men have a lot of time left. Some of them might not live much longer. My list of the best heavyweights alive in a head to head sense would be: 1. Ali 2. Holmes 3. Lewis 4. V. Klitschko 5. Foreman 6. Tyson 7. Holyfield 8. W. Klitschko - Can improve 9. Bowe 10. Frazier 11. Norton 12. Witherpsoon 13. Ibebuchi 14. Byrd 15. Tua
