That's sub 5 min mile pace! That ridiculously fast, I can't run under 6 min mile pace for a mile flat out.
3km = 1.86 miles 1.86 miles in 9 minutes 1.86 x 1600 = 2976 metres 2976 / 9 = 330.66 metres per minute 1600 / 330.66 = 4.83 minutes per mile 0.83 of a minute is 50 seconds So you ran a mile in 4 minutes 50 seconds. Think that's right =/
I'm sorry to all you guys who posted back, but what I meant to say was 2km in nine minuets..... Not 3km!!! I wish I was that fast. I was typing in the dark and didn't notice..... I still might be able to get close to that if I keep at it. Thanks for the calculations though. I still don't think it's bad considering I weigh just over 15 stone?
Never timed myself over two miles, most of my shorter distance runs are intervals (anywhere between 50m sprints and 3 miles). The only distance I time myself over is 5 miles, which I run once every 4-5 weeks, best time is 29.32 but that was a few years back.
right now, i think i can do it in 16-18 minutes. my fastest mile time is about 7 minutes and 30 secs.
about 2 year ago b4 i wrecked my knee i did a mile just over 5 mins but never timed myself for 2 miles, i wouldnt of kept the pae on that i did 4 that mile though if i tried now id b in pain n it would take 30min to a hour:tong
Never mind, I did a 3 mile run yesterday and did the first two in 13:30 and thought it was easy, I figured I was going at 15:00 pace. Maybe I could manage 12-12.5 minutes right now.
Have a hard time believing that considering only 2 guys here can run that time, and they run 10 miles every day :/
sorry buddy no joke, i ran high school cross country and track starting in the 7th grade. i have been an avid runner my whole life, and also competed in the junior olympics my sophmore year in high school and placed 17th in the nation. i'm not blowing hot air.
And plus, 10 miles a day doesn't make your 1 mile two mile and 5k faster. you need to do WORKOUTS such as fartleks, thresholds, tempo's intervals and repeats at a hard work rate. you only do a long run once a week.
