I was just wondering what everyone throught was the greatest division of all time? It seems that we are forever discussing who or what makes a ATG, but we do not look at the divisions. Either way I am going to plump for Middleweight, as I don't think there has been a division with as many great champions, while (when there are decent boxers in its class of course) it contains the right amount of speed and power.
Welterweight. The division has it all. Great boxers, sluggers, defensive fighters, speed, power, ferocity. When I think boxing, I think welterweight. Sugar Ray Robinson Sugar Ray Leonard Henry Armstrong Thomas Hearns Emile Griffith Jack Britton Carmen Basilio Kid Gavilan Pernell Whitaker Barney Ross Curtis Cokes Donald Curry Young Corbett III Jimmy McLarnin Jose Napoles Marlon Starling
I know its a fairly recent division but p4p i think super middle hasnt been too bad for the short space of time itsbeen around its heldhost to some great fights/fighters
Welterweight...closely followed by Heavyweight. Boxing possibly wouldn't be as big as it is today if these divisions hadn't been packed with such talent, and massive ego's.
