It was Spinks v Holmes on TV, 1985.

I was very young back then and didn't know jack about boxing. My father was raving about it being a David v Goliath battle as we were watching it on TV, and then he was raving for a week after that when Spinks won.

Frank Bruno v Mike Tyson on the radio in 89?? I was a kid then and almost cried when Frank got beat. I grew up watching the super-middles of the 90s.

Tyson-Frazier on TV, 1st round KO back in 1986. I was a kid, and it impressed the hell out of me, but it didn't make me a boxing fan. That happened some years later, when I saw James Toneys early fights.

Tyson vs someone in the 90s. But Oscar vs Vargas was the fight that I sat down and watched and remember very clearly.

I also remember my sisters boyfriend at the time who I hated. Was cheering heavily for Vargas because he said he was a true mexican (him also being mexican). So I rooted for DLH and he knocks his ass out.

EDIT - I had to add this cause I know freddy would come in here and call me racist against mexicans. But my sister is half mexican (different fathers), and the reason i disliked her boyfriend was because he treated her like **** and I knew that he was eventually going to hit her, which he did, but what made it even worse was he was born without a hand on his left arm. So it was pure bone when he did hit her.. broke his nose and she was messed up bad for a bit. (Thank god they aren't together)
