    1) Debatable. He was top-10 for a long time and beat Ruiz, roids or no roids. If you think they really made much of a difference to the outcome you are blinded by a combination of hate and nuthuggery. Ruiz had a better resume than Vitali so....
-if- we assume Vitali is elite
-and- Ruiz had a more impressive title reign than Vitali
-and- Toney proved he could beat Ruiz
    then......

    Debatable, sure.
But whether he was better overall than 38 year old Sanders, 260lbs Kirk and flat-out garbage Williams is not debatable.

    2) Yes he was ahead against Byrd. He would be ahead against Toney too. But you can be ahead on the cards and still lose. I would have thought a Vitali fanboy would know that by now!!

Exactly, Toney was never an elite fighter at heavyweight.

He won against an old holyfield, needed steroids to face Ruiz and struggled with Sam Peter, the same guy Wlad boxed with ease.

Vitali would have KTFO of james toney.

I actually I am RUSKULL, if he would happen to beat Peter or Maskaev, we wouldnt see another WBC defense for another year, so as Heavyweight boxing fan, I pray to god Vitali stays in his brother corner where he belongs.:deal

Outboxed Peter with ease!:rofl He had to clinch over 90 times and got floored 3 times, to get the win by only 3 points on all three of the judges scorecards, thats not what I call outboxing someone with ease.

None of them - if they are all equally stupid I can't pick one that's less pathetic than the others.

Name an elite fighter on Vitali's resume.
Name one he beat. Just ONE.

If Toney isn't elite, then name one fighter on Vitali's resume who as close to being elite as Toney was around the time he fought Ruiz.

I dare you to say Corrie Sanders. :deal

Whether or not you consider Toney to be "elite" isn't really the issue. There is no proof that you necessarily have to be Elite to beat Vitali, you just have to be above the level of Vaughn Bean or Puritty and out-last him. Who did Vitali fight that was anywhere near as durable & hard to hit as Toney...

The closest was probably Byrd, and his connect % vs Byrd was laughable. LAUGHABLE. And that was undeniably one of the reasons his shoulder was injured.

hmm...on a level of a 1-100 in "stupidity", surely you can find at least a slight distance.

i mean, on a scale of 1-100 in disgraceful vitali actions, i would give vitali getting banned from the olympics for juicing a 99.5, while I would only give his 5 straight cancellations a 87.8, and his claiming he beat lewis a 87.78.

so surely you can come up with at a slight difference, no?

He only got floored once if you listen to the WALDO fans, apparently the other two knock-downs were unfair because they were caused by punches.

I'm still trying to figure it out :huh

I try to explain it to the Wlad nut huggers on my many different occasions already, but it never seems to sink in with them. I just hope someday Wlad gets blown out by another journeymen in the future, so we could end all these ATG talks and other stupid topics based on how amazing Wlad is.

Vitali had no issues lasting to the end of the rounds. Toney would present no problems to him, he would have gotten a severe beatdown and have been TKOed in the late rounds. Toneys chin doesnt mean ****, Vitali would be landing on him regularly and the ref would stop it after his fat ass took enough of a beating.

Toney was lucky to get a draw against Rahman, lost to Peter twice and busted for steroids against Ruiz. The onlything he ever did at heavyweight was stop an old holyfield. Say what you want about Vitali, but when he won, you know who was the winner because he did it convincingly.
