    What's wrong with Sanders?

He was young, in-shape, in his prime, a full-time fighter, and active, no?

    Why not?

Corrie Sanders was 38 years old. Hey, that's only a few months older than Lennox Lewis when beat Vitali, right?

Corrie Sanders was 235 lbs when he fought Vitali. That's only 10 pounds heavier than when he beat Wlad and lost to Rahman.

He was active and full-time. He only had 13 months off and it was his 3rd fight in 29 months.

    That's not active?

Lewis was only off a year when he beat Vitali.

In the 4 years between his loss to Rahman and the Vitali fight, Sanders fought a total of LESS THAN 5 ROUNDS in 3 fights, two of which were against bums.

In the four years before the Vitali fight, Lennox had fought OVER 50 ROUNDS in 7 world title fights.

    Try again.

Are you saying that Vitali has a weak resume?

Vitali beat so many in-shape, young, top 10 contenders.

    Guys such as.....

What are you talking about now?

I was disputing that Sanders was active, and your comparison of his activity before fighting Vitali with that of Lennox before his fight with Vitali.

Are you suggesting that Vitali's best win is over a part-time golfer who was old, not active, and overweight?

No. His best win was against a runner with no power and no nuts who was 30lbs overweight.

His second best win was against a part-time golfer who was old, not active, and overweight.

His third best win was a loss.

    Yes.

I don't hate Shane, but I don't like how he gets a pass for everything because he's apparently a nice person and has a friendly smile.

After he lost to Cotto, there were all these threads talking about how he's such a great sportsman and gracious loser because he for once was gracious after a defeat (yeah, it only took him 5 times). He also gets more of a pass on the Balco thing than most fighters with steroid accusations, and damn near all athletes get laughed at with the "I didn't know what I was taking" excuse.
