I like slick boxer-punchers, but ones that aren't afraid to engage their opponent when neccessary.

How does runner go hand in hand with slick? Foolish poll, not very many good options.

Toe to toe isnt really a good description for

    a. a slugger

    b. A boxer puncher

those are my two favorites. Toe to toe seems to be in my interepetation a limited wade in low skilled trade and smash kind of guy.

I do agree there is a difference in defending yourself and running.

In the first fight against Pacquiao JMM did an excelent job defending himself, from the lefts that dropped him 3 times in the first round, without running.

Floyd did a great job running in the last rounds in his first encounter against Castillo, and i'll call it running when your opponent is literally chasing you down to get some action.

Who do you respect more is the question.
The fighter that give you his all, so you could enjoy an action packed fight to the extent that he possibly could risk his health.
Or the boxer that will defend first, landing a shot here and there not caring if you get a action fight as long as he comes out in better health.

Who you got more respect for?

got equal amount of respect for both. because as much as i respect a fighter who's gonna risk their health, i respect a fighter who's not gonna buy into what the fans want and risk their health. so i respect both equally. but ill call the fighter who "runs" smarter.

some might see it as smarts, while others might see it as lack of heart. it's all good, like I said before we need both styles in the sport.

Mayweather I say superbly posseses 3 styles in boxing: Runner/Slick, Defensive and a Counterpuncher. That makes him Great.

Chad Dawson is a perfect example of my favorite type of fighter as well as Joel Casamayor. The fighters with the beautiful foot work that also has some pop in their punches and are not affraid to trade. I like looking at the skill and not just blood and guts.

Nope it wouldn´t. It would be a onesided beatdown of PBF.

I like counter-punchers with a good defense and some pop the most speaking of guys like Johnson, Schmeling, Moore, Hopkins, young Toney. Also i can appreciate nearly every style in boxing - with the exception of human punching bags like Gatti.

Yeah but he´s all about money that´s why he has not a legacy comparable to the legacies of the real greats.
