Name the fight you think is great, in both excitement and significance, that didn't get the credit you think it deserves. My pick would be Vitali v Sanders. Vitali had the best "Matrix" moment in that fight I've ever seen for a HW: he dodged a ton of hard shots from Corrie in the third round and landed a few in turn. And they were arguably the top two HWs at the time in a very meaningful legacy fight that had a bunch of thrilling moments for a fight that is usually considered to be one sided.
I'll rep Ivan Calderon vs. Giovani Segura I as much as possible. It applies here. I am a fan of Vitali vs. Sanders, very good fight.
Vitali really did show how good his reflexes were in the Sanders fight. Especially against a guy with freakishly fast hands like Corrie. Here’s a fun fight that kinda went under the radar over the years. Mercer vs Witherspoon. This content is protected
I've never been able to find any video footage of it, but back in 2003 on the Anthony Mundine vs Antwun Echols undercard, there was a fight; Gurkan Ozkan vs Rico Chong Nee. This fight was 2 guys throwing and landing absolute bombs non stop on each other for 8 rounds, staggering all around the ring. One of the best self-preservation out the window/fight for the centre of the ring fights I've ever seen. One of my favourite fights I've never been able to see again. If anyone has a video of this fight, put it up on youtube and post it! Would be greatly appreciated.
Yes I remember that one. In the last round it was like Rico was on his feet throwing bombs while he was unconscious. Brutal fight.
