After all the talking Laran did he got ran out of Nevada Said he was going to break Canelos face just to get his face ripped open.
:nod This of course in the Lara that GGG haters say will school him. But if you don't have the guts to trade with Canelo despite all the s*** talk at 155, how is he going to have the guts to trade with GGG? Lara's game plan would be to run his way to a wide points loss. Not that I believe he really wants that fight- if he did, why has he made no attempt to make it over that twitter talk?
I liked how he outboxed Trout and sent the slick boxing nation into months of denial an mental suffering!
Matty Hatton. For Canelo to last 12 rounds with this ATG and get a well earned points win is an amazing notch on his resume. Now,i admit Matty was past prime but just goes to show how solid he was that Canelo couldnt even dent his whiskers over 12.
The Lara fight was too close and the Kirkland beating too brutal. Kirkland was a punching bag and that was a mismatch. So I'll say Trout. Canelo surprisingly showed improved foot work and slick defence in that fight.
clearly Lara, though that fight could really have gone either way, the rest of the guys you mentioned were either shot (Mosley, Baldomir) or solid but never great to begin with (Hatton, Trout, Miguel Cotto, Angulo, Kirkland)
Kirkland fight is obviously memorable, albeit easily predictable. Cintron and Gomez fights were pretty entertaining as well, though clearly below that level. Baldomir was a sweet shot KO that I enjoyed. Trout and Lara because of the stakes and skill are notable ones... I'll go with Kirkland, Baldomir, and Trout as my favorites.
:good These 'boxing fans' should bare in mind if Lara had be given the win, would it really be that good for boxing. Nobody would want to see him again still.
True, but there was the danger that if Canelo didn't stop him early Kirkland can become hell on wheels.
