What is your favourite Cotto win via stoppage?

Seriously!! How does this unbelievable shootout get forgotten?! This was a crazy fight.

He was drained to living death.

 

It really was, I don't believe he did on purpose but if he did, that just makes it all the more special...I mean really, how many people could consciously pull that off??

 

Only the fighter themselves know if they were drained, so like the OP says, hater be gone!!

 

He was obviously drained, but he got a good paycheck out of it.

 

Alfonso Gomez, the way he looked at Alfonso that last round before he stopped him was cold as hell. Cotto looked at him as though he was disappointed he was Latino, lol.

 

Might not be the most impressive.... but I liked revenge for the plaster.

People forget how special of a victory it was back then. Cotto's win over Paulie was also an incredible feat at the time.

On the other hand I felt Clottey beat Cotto too.

The KO's against Sergio and Yuri should not count. They had no knees... Both of those guys could have got handicapped parking if they applied for it.

 

..and a quitter. That fight was quitter vs quitter.

 

For the record,

I voted for Margarito since he is a cheat. But even he shouldn't have been fighting with that eye of his. Its not a surprise though, the NYSAC is corrupt and allowed Cotto to fight Martinez a man with no knees. They also have had other tragedies taint their record. They are not concerned about fighters health, just the money the fights generate.
