Middle. You got my favourite fighter of all time, Burley, then great fighters like Walker, Greb, Robinson, Tiger, other favourites, cult classics like Ketchel, Holman Williams and Carlos Monzon plus it gave the world Bob Fitzsimmons and Ezzard Charles who would become HW champions.
Lightweight. JCC, Duran, Castillo, Henry Armstrong, Whitaker, Mosley, Freitas, etc and having guys like Pacquiao and JMM fighting there now just makes me like it even more
Probablt Lightweight or Welterweight. I am a big fan of a the lower weight classes as well. Heavyweights bore me.
Yes and sadly the names that haven't voted heavyweight, don't. The Heavyweight division may not be the most interesting right now but it has brought some great champions and fights. * He says stating the obvious*
From the time of Ali up to the time of Tyson and Lewis . . . it's the Heavy Weight Division. :yep After that . . . I shifted to welter, super welter, middle weight to super Middle . . . this is where the action is.
I love the 160-175lber.. These are the true athletes in the sport, the mixture of Power, Stamina, Speed and Technique. In my view, the best boxers of their respective era (except the 70's) have all boxed in these weight classes too.
147 for me recently: leonard, hearns, curry, whitaker, mcgirt, trinidad, mayweather, quartey, forrest, mosley, de la hoya, judah, cotto, etc, etc. for my tastes, the perfect blend of speed v power... 154 is a little heavy for me and 140 a little too light my 2nd choice would be 135 and 3rd choice would be 160
As much as I like the stacked lightweight division, the welterweight division is very deep. As such, we will be treated to a dandy on July 26th between Cotto and Margarito.
My favorite is Middleweight, becasue that weight usually produces the best mix of power and skill, also its a representative of the average humans fighting ability.
