    I can't pick between Holmes-Norton, Bowe-Holyfield I, and Prior-Arguello I.

probably Hagler Hearns. No clinching, just straight out fighting

Douglas from the Tyson fight may just be the best, most perfect fighting machine at heavyweight ever. The man had no limitations which is surprising coming from a no name heavyweight contender

Try Larry Holmes against Earnie Shavers (first fight from 1978). Easily as great. It even has a dynamic, from Larry having trouble in the beginning to completely dominating at the end, to the point where Shavers would have been done a minute into the next round, had there been one, max.

The ultimate display of Matador vs. Bull. It still blows me away to this day.

Thanks. Yes, Larry was something else in his younger days.

I remember seeing a film of him vs Bobick n the undercard of Ali Frazier 3. Larry looked like he would be a match for Ali himself

I imagine he would have been no joke against Ali. But he had a couple of more years. One of the interesting things about him is how he seemingly learned how to really sit into his right hand after he won the title; before that he wasn't too much of a puncher. Though Alfredo Evangelista wasn't exactly the most challenging opponent for his first defense, Holmes' one punch knockout was mighty impressive considering he'd never done anything like that before. His basically one-punch demo of Weaver and vicious beating of Shavers in the second fight further showcased how much he'd improved in that respect.

Larry had a right hand to boast of. I remember vividly the right hand he used to crush Marvis, son of Frazier. what an awesome display!

My favorite short fight is Hagler-Hearns. My favorite longer fight is Bobby Chacon-Bazooka Limon 4. It was the 1982 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year and it was a great fight.

I love the way he snapped the right back right after he threw it, causing the first knockdown. It was the perfect punch.
