You beat me to it! That fight had everything. Also a big fan of the Vasquez-Marquez wars. Hagler-Hearns was the greatest 4 round fight in the history of the sport. Also Ali vs Frazier 3 was terrific. Both guys at that juncture were past their best, and that's probably what made that fight so great (that and their animosity towards one another.)
I've always wondered why more fights don't play out like Hagler Hearns. Why can't two guys line up and trade blows more often? Both think they could crack the others chin first.
Morales/Barrera Trilogy Morales/Pacquiao Trilogy Marquez/Pacquiao - 1 and 2 Maidana/Lopez Guevara/Yaegashi Gonzales/Yaegashi Barrera/Hamed Castillo/Mayweather (Castillo clearly won) Might be more but just off the top of my head.
I hope you're not suggesting Tommy was a glass cannon :nono But your general point is absolutely correct.
Cotto-Martinez That "chi" punch that Cotto landed on Martinez in round 1 was legendary. I haven't seen **** like that before since the Foreman fight. Was a nasty beat down this shot Cotto laid on the MW champ. Was a nasty one sided beating.
