Exciting styles; Southpaws:Awkward brawler/slugger with speed and power ala Hamed and Pacquiao. Orthodox:Nothing beats the boxer/puncher/brawler warriors like Morales and MArquez who when they heat is on they won't back down or run away from contact no sir.
Sometimes the sluggers are too good for their own good. Paying $50 to see a guy get knocked out in the stupid early rounds isn't cool.
I see what you mean and I partially agree. However, if a knockout occurs in lets say the 5th round and all the rounds up to that point were action-packed, I wouldn't complain much.
I like guys who are aggressive, but also have a bit of slickness. Guys who can seamlessly blend offense and defense. Jose Napoles and Roberto Duran are two that come to mind. Also, I like technically gifted punchers - fighters who punched with perfect technique and great accuracy, like Joe Louis. I also like maulers, come forward pressure fighters and in-fighters like Jack Dempsey and Henry Armstrong. And fleet footed, quick fisted volume punchers who aren't afraid to mix it up, Muhammad Ali and, in modern times, Sergio Martinez, fit this bill; Joe Calzaghe, too, but his personality kept me from becoming a fan.
1; Boxer/Puncher 2; Stalker ( a stalker is just a hyper aggressive boxer/puncher. ) 3; Swarmer 4; Brawler ( a skilled brawler, like the guy in my avatar, is a lot of fun to watch )
I like defensive styles most. Pernell Whitaker was a god. James Toney, Montell Griffin and Herol Graham are among my faves. Chris Byrd is my favourite fighter of all time. As of today i really like Eddie Chambers.
