you been avoiding my proposition for a while hansy boy. are we still on for the bet for Brook not fighting a Rios type guy next, and a Chaves/Alexander/Bradley etc kind of guy by the end of the year?
I had a ****ney midget doing the same. Guy must've been 4 Ft nothing yet he was ready to take on the whole bar.
What bet's that? Rios has been offered to fight Brook next but he keeps stalling on signing. So much for your thought that Rios would be willing to fight Brook at 5 weeks notice on May 30th, when he has had like 5 months notice, hasn't even signed when he's been offered about 5 times the money, he would've got for that, when unlike May 30th it will be shown on HBO and when unlike May 30th Rios is now in the top 15 by the IBF so it will actually be a title fight .....but Rios still avoiding signing. Chaves and Alexander will fight in a final eliminator. I would say that happens maybe Dec/ Jan/ Feb. Bradley has already rejected the chance to becomes Brooks mado (as did Khan, as did Sadam Ali, as did Shawn Porter, as did Leonard Bundu) but that is still a possible unification. They are also looking at Thurman I saw in an interview yesterday with Hearn but he's very unlikely to be allowed to travel by Haymon. So if I was to hazard a guess I'd say Marquez or Provdnikov are most likely if Rios doesn't man up soon and takes his thrashing like a man.
Bute or Groves 2 loved both fights. The Bute fight was bizarre to watch and the Groves 2 fight was vintage Carl Froch.
Jermain Taylor, that's what perseverance gets you. That's why I almost spat my drink out loling when Groves said 'he likes to dine out on saying he's a 12 round fighter'
The bet is if Brook fights a rios/chaves/alexander/porter/thurman/maidana/ali/bradley/khan type of guy twice, you win the bet by the end of the year. If he doesn't I win, let's just do a one week, I'm willing to do a month but I have a feeling you won't take it. He's not stalling apparently Brook's side is trying to **** around. Not surprised. If anyone is pulling a ***** move it's Brook, instead of coming up with so many demands just fight Rios who should be an easy fight. Marquez and Provo are fine too, though Marquez win does nothing for me, I'll still give him far more credit than what he's doing, and even let you slip that in that long list I alreayd gave. Provo has lost every major fight he's been into, but still a huge step up.
Exactly correct. He snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in a most dramatic way. This fight also had a huge impact on Taylors career but in a very negative way.
No he's not. All the terms have been there for weeks. Rios wants more money- he gets offered more money yet he doesn't take that....Rios tries to claim Brook is forcing him to wear pillow gloves yet it's not in the terms of the contract, it's a commission ruling and Brook couldn't give two hoots what gloves Rios wears because everyone knows he's not lying one on Brook....he claims he's doesn't want a rematch clause but that is standard procedure for a mandatory defense. But you still didn't answer the question- why did you think Rios would take a none title fight at 5 weeks weeks notice for a 5th of the money when he's not accepting this offer. Marquez does nothing for you but Rios, Alexander, Porter and Ali are legit Why because you think Brook will win and it will kill your argue that he's a bum to a greater degree. What's the difference between Brook taking a challenge like Marquez who was a pound for pound guy after over a year out, and Golovkin fighting Froch who's an older guy on pound for pound after a year out- and you criticised Froch on this very thread for not taking that fight.
