I'd bet you that the fight on the undercard is better. Perez-Mares has FOTY candidate written all over it.
Martinez v Pavlik was good. I watched it again yesterday, and I might have had Pavlik up by a couple of points, which surprised me, cause I thought Martinez ran away with it when I watched it the first time.
Rounds 3 and 4. That was the surprise. I might have had Pavlik winning those rounds. Coupled with the extra point for the knockdown he could have won the fight. Not insane, just numbers .
My top 10: Escalante-Roman Kesseler-Froch (also, those last 3 rounds are up for ROTY in my book as well.) Nashiro vs Cazares II Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym-Satoshi Hosono Dirrell-Abraham Brinkley-Stevens Adamek-Arreola Abregu-Gutierrez Angulo-Julio Karmazin-Miranda It's been a good year thus far, a lot of people on here just haven't been paying attention.
The problem with this year so far is that a lot of the big name fights were too one sided, Pacquiao-Clottey, Mayweather-Mosley, Martinez-Pavlik,etc. Fortunately, Pacquiao-Mayweather is still on the horizon so this year still has potential for an epic FOTY candidate.
Cazares-Nashiro II, Escalante-Roman, also liked Kessler-Froch and our Koki Kameda vs. Wonjongkam (though it was rather an action-packed boxing match).
Maybe not fight of the year, but thought I would throw this one out to those across the pond that haven't seen it: Gary Sykes vs Andy Morris Try and find a copy of it if you can - great fight :good
This:deal But the year is far from over! Some good match up in super-six is comming with Froch vs AA and Ward vs Dirrell! Also looking foreward to Dawson vs Pascal
