What is your last resort startegy to to get off the ropes?

If im sparring a shorter guy my last resort to get off the ropes or out of the corner is by pushing my partners head down with my forearm, this will either develop into a clinch and we'll get told to break, or it will give me time to move away.

 

I'll do this all the time when I'm on the ropes and can't move, I'll clinch onto the opponent and throw him into the ropes.

 

If we're talking last resort, clinch, step out to your right or left (depending on which way you pivot), and pivot out spinning him into the ropes. You will most likely get a warning in the amateurs but we are talking last resort.

 

A little step ive heared refered to as the drop-shift, similair to a side step, give them a little somthing to push back against and then side step slightly forward and to the right (if orthadox) switching stance to southpaw youll be slightly turned away from opponent, then turn/pivot to face or throw a wound up right hand to face opponent again then left hook or uppercut to head or body, i like to use this in an explosive way to damage or to get respect and stop opponnts rushing me.

 

1st resort - Bounce straight off with a counter
2nd resort - Move along the ropes until I can get back into the centre
3rd resort - Move head and get him to miss so I can get away
4th resort - Try and turn him with head movement or shoulder
5th resort - Hold him until the referee moves us to the centre of the ring and warns me

 

LAST resort?

kick him in the nuts and get disqualified.
