We're all entitled to our opinion, Puga_ni_Nana, and just because mine does'nt conform with Pac-mania should not be a cause for alarm.

I sat down and watched the fight like any self respecting Boxing fan, not only loving the action and heart displayed by both fighters, but also thinking Marquez had done enough to win. I've accepted the fact, over time, that Manny was given the verdict and that is why he was P4P number 1 on my list up until the destruction of Juan Diaz a month ago. That said, I consider myself a passionate Boxing fan, and I like to score the fight because we've all become accustomed to god awful judges over the years. I believe Juan won the fight, so it takes a little glitter from the spectacle, but not enough to completely ruin the experience.

As I've got to accept that Manny was given the verdict, you've also got to accept that there are fans and critics that believe Juan won the fight.

those who have jmm winning have a range of score from 114~113 or some have 115~112. most have 114~113 and it was hardly a convincing win for jmm even if they have jmm as the winner. i have pac 114~113 with 6 rounds a piece and the kd giving him the edge. i admit that there are several close rounds that if i gave it to jmm, my score could easily be 114~113 jmm. my point here is, the scores are too close to complain unless you have the same score cards like that of divac which was around 9~3 or 10~2 rounds for jmm.

i apologize if this is not thread related anymore. it just happens that because of the tightness and the quality of the fight, i ended up watching it more and become my favorite fight as of present.

I have Juan Manuel Marquez winning the fight, and on that basis, the verdict took a little glitter away for me. If the fight had been as great as MAB vs Morales 1, it probably wouldn't have made a difference, but it isn't as good as that. It was technically superb on Juan's behalf, whereas Pacquiao's fast hands and aggressiveness always kept it competitive.

MAB-EM1 was a great fight and so was pac-jmm2. it's not much a war compared to MAB-EM but the level of tactical and skill display was topnotch. i feel that this fight was underrated because it was at the same year as of the brutal vazquez-rafa fight. it was technically superb not only on jmm's behalf but also with pac. if you think that only pac's physical abilities are on show here, you better watch the fight again.

this fight might have made what pac and jmm what they are now. because of it, jmm became more lethal and remains as sharp as ever while dominating the lightweights while pac has become a skillful and a more rounded fighter by dominating with ease much bigger opponents than him.

Trinidad W12 DLH. 115-114, 6-5-1. The first was even. Oscar won rounds 2-4, and 6 and 8. Trinidad won rounds 5, 7, and swept 9-12, because Oscar is lacking in the testicle department. Perhaps he should drink an elixir made from Ricky Hatton's scrotum sweat, and some testicles will spontaneoulsy sprout and he will take Julio Jr's challenge. :good

Class Dismissed. Go brush your teeth.

Oscarsexual. It was cowardly for Oscar de la Hoya to take this fight, and I'll show you some reasons why.

    1. KOSTYA TSZYU was the IBF jr. welterwt Champion, and widely considered THE MAN at that weightclass back in 1996. Oscar de la Hoya, Joel de la Hoya and their entire team avoided Kostya like the plague, and Zab Judah can tell the World exactly why that was.

    2. Chavez had already been exposed by Pernel Whitaker, and destroyed by Frankie Randall. Oscar de la Hoya and Joel and Co. checked out footage of both fights, and KNEW that old age, and hard living were catching up with the Great Mexican Warrior. They knew that an old ass Chavez with a WBC strap was not only "easy pickings" but a HUGE money megafight.

    3. Chavez went in that fight with a pre existing cut, but had too much pride to postpone the fight. 2 years later, a washed up Chavez went life and death with DLH for 8 rounds. This alone showed me how overrated Oscar de la Hoya was back in 1998. I knew then, that as soon as he stopped fighting old men, and Patrick Charpenties and Hector Camachos that he would be defeated.

    Thank you Tito Trinidad. :good

    Chavez, is that you?

Prescott, serious note, why do you have such an agenda against Oscar?

I think if a half blind, Puerto Rican, blood relative of Tito was scoring the fight with De La Hoya, the absolute best they could score it was as a draw.

Tito is an ATG, but he did not win that fight.
