I struggle to watch that fight. I had Barrera winning, and inflicting some brutal punishment. As i remember, he hurt Morales far more than the other way around. I actually ended up really hating Barrera after that fight :tired

The reason i love Castillo Corrales 1 way over this fight is cause i could distance myself from the fighters. I could just sit back in awe without having worrying so much if my fighter was gonna survive.

Castillo vs Corrales I would be by second or third favorite, depending on what mood I was in. Fabulous fight, unbelievable ebb and flow.

As for Barrera vs Morales I, I'm just in awe watching them both in opposite corners. Knowing what we know now about how gifted the two fighters were, even though Mab was under-estimated at the time, it's crazy to think the fight was even made. Two of the greatest Mexican fighters ever, at their peak, going at it. It doesn't get any better than that, and boy did they deliver on that. There is no winner or loser after that fight, they both won the little guys recognition forever with such a display.

Oscar de la Hoya is even more overrated than Bernard Hopkins. He is a media darling, an HBO (Home of Beloved Oscar) product, a Superstar because he was Ricky Martin with Boxing Gloves.

It was a close fight and Roy was past his best. The only time he really had to dig down to win a fight.

Check out HBO's Boxing Website. Harold Lederman has a great article on how to score a round. You and the rest of the Oscarsexuals need to read it. :good

I like Hagler/Hearns. I cannot believe they started unloading at the bell. Unbelievable. There was no feeling out. Fearless.

Oscar-Vargas, even though I don't like Oscar and have become a huge fan of Vargas over time that was a superb fight.

You cannot argue that De La Hoya fought the best, Chavez straight after the fight started making excuses that his son opened a cut above his eye before the fight but he didn't want to postpone the bout as there was so much drama leading up to the fight.

By the way Trinidad was one dimensional and was taken to school by De La Hoya for 9 rounds, Trinidad only won the fight on paper, he was outclassed by the Golden Boy, look at the compubox numbers. Hater.
