    On one hand he just wasn't reacting anymore and he lost inside the predetemined time so the stoppage is just.
    On the other hand there were only 2 seconds left on the clock so he wouldn't get tagged anymore, so he didn't have to be protected by the referee...

    It's a real brainbreaker, so I agree with the referee's ruling at the time.
    Taylor could have gotten lucky and be saved by the bell, winning on points.

    So I also look at it this way;
    As even a lot of people here wanted to see Bute stopped AFTER the final bell, what would have happened if the referee didn't stop it INSIDE the time and Taylor being declared the winner while looking like he got ran over by a train? :think

    There simply wasn't enough time left for JCC to force a stoppage, in my opinion, but it is what it is. The fight wasn't as one-sided as history likes to record.

    Ya, the whole Taylor swept the first 9 rounds bull**** needs to stop. He was missing a lot of his furries and getting countered with solid shots.

    He still won of course if the fight wasn't stopped.

    I think it was a good stoppage. He wasn't fit to continue, and in that position, even with only a few seconds left, he could get badly hurt.
