What is your opinion of Tyson Fury?

Maybe a belt holder. Next lineal champion? Not sure if he has the discipline and determination for that.

 

Sadly in todays diminished heavyweight era he's a contender. 15, 20 years ago he would have been Tye Fields.

 

I never rated him but he has surprised me how he developed and how far he has come. I liked the dude, but he got quite a few penalty points from me when he chickened out of the Ustinov bout.
Because let's face it, he lacks the defence and the chin to face the bigger punching heavyweights and clearly he knows that himself.

Haye should have been his payout fight, wich he would probably lose on multiple KD stoppage. Now he's gunning for the Wlad fight to get his 'ride into the sunset' payday, and he might get it too.

 

He's definitely got charisma, but he's just as talented as Primo Carnera. Aside from his size, you do need some level of intelligence to beat the likes of Cunningham. At some point, Fury knew he was no match for Cunningham, but took advantage of USS punching himself out and where Fury does excel well are rough house tactics. Once he had a hold of Cunningham Fury basically had to hold and clonk him, any other way Fury wouldn't have won. So Fury knows his limits, cuz he's a very limited fighter, but that's a good thing and because of that, that is why he wins. He knows when to step on and let off the throttle. And because the division is very weak, a fighter like him has even better chances to win.

 

He's all three. Aside from Wladimir there can't be many odds on to beat him?
