Havn't seen anything that warrants this "special" talk that people keep saying about him, maybe they should look up the definition of the word, Broner so far is just another Andre Berto/James Kirkland/ Jeff Lacy hypejob to me so far, great athleticism, some flashy moves, and matched carefully against guys tailor made to make them look good (De Marco having the WBC belt was a DREAM matchup for Broner) while showing plenty of flaws

now as for the "personality" thing...ehhh I just don't see it, his one-liners in the lead up to the Eloy Perez fight were ****ing CRINGEWORTHY

the hairbrush thing.... explain to me why that's funny? genuinely, please tell me

people who say Broner has charisma, again, don't seem to know what that word means..Prince Naseem had charisma, Sugar Ray Leonard had charisma, Adrien Broner ain't got no charisma, he bores me.

I suppose it'll be interesting to see Broner develope, but then that's natural as I am a boxing fan, and if he goes down in history as a superstar ATG, then I owe a lot of people a coca cola...fairly confident that won't happen though

seriously Rico? I disagree, like I said above, some of his attempts to be funny have made me absolutely cringe, literally

I mean in the build up to the Perez fight, Broner said "When I beat him, me and my boys gonna go out and eat some steak" to which Perez replied "Oh he's gonna need a steak for his ****ing eye" I mean to me that's wittier than the Corona remark

Obviously he's very gifted but I don't know whether he warrants the hype he is getting.

If he gives Burns similar treatment to what he gave Demarco then I'll be a believer.

His feet are so flat, but he looks really thick set, strong and durable. If you come at him and fight his type of fight then he'll chew you up and spit you out, but if you show him some movement and speed, constantly sticking that jab in his face, he looks very beatable. His defence looks porous from long range and his footwork is remarkably ponderous for a guy his size.

I think Burns gives him hell and I think Khan has the potential to embarrass him, but give him someone like Maidana or Rios and he'll shine imo.

I think he's an Insanely talented cocky arrogant ***** who'll make an absolute fortune and divide the opinions of boxing fans for the next decade whilst cherry picking opponents and probably staying undefeated.

    Sound familiar?

What's clear is he has so much natural athletic talent. Tremendous speed of hand and foot, very good reflexes, enough pop to get anybodies respect, looks like he can tag a decent shot too. Offensively, his right hand is very impressive. Very accurate and flush at times, he can lead with it and land quickly or throw precise straight right counters. His left hook has some power, and he's got a good, stiff jab when he uses it. Can also hit the body, very good jab to the body, can land with damaging hooks in closer and can uppercut too (body and head, and off the counter).

So in terms of his punch variety, he's got pretty much every shot in the book. My issues with him are his work rate mainly, as 30-35 punches a round is not going to cut it, particularly when he doesn't ever double up on his jab to keep guys from putting consistent pressure on him. Also he's too flat-footed. I appreciate he wants to set his feet to counter with hard shots, but it leads to him being all too easy to hit to the body at times.

If he can learn to up his output, double jab more and use his feet to slip in and out of range more often, he'll be a much better fighter and be able to better utilize his skills. I think he's clearly a much higher class of fighter than Burns for example, but I wouldn't be supremely confident that he'd win that fight purely because he can be outworked. Burns brings a lot of the same intangibles PDL did and that's the worry, he's crafty, intelligent, has above average boxing skills and a high output. He sticks the jab though a lot more which would make it an even more interesting battle.

Looks good but as yet unproven. Maybe not as good as he thinks he is,should know a lot more in a years time. My opinion is that he will lose in 2013 but we will see.

I like the way he stands in range, opponents swing at him, maybe lucky to land a jab, then he comes back landing clean and flashy punches. Looking good. If he has a good chin, he should go far. May become a top lightweight - junior welterweight in the next 3 years.

Interesting personality, may be massively overrated though.

I don't think he is the athlete Floyd Mayweather is, and he looks like he will start to fall apart physically soon as he passes 30 years old. I think he's one of these boxers who seem play this new game...

"Look at all the sweets and chocolate i can eat, and still stay in shape"...

I can remember awhile back on twitter, it was just picture after picture of sweets, chocolate cakes, Milk Shakes! he just kept posting pictures of what he was eating constantly.

He's 23 years old, and Floyd Mayweather looks younger than him!

Floyd Mayweather has been known to brag about his nutrition but..? I think its all for show, in secret i think Floyd Mayweather eats a nutrient dense diet.

He has his own chef who cooks for him!

Then again..? I might be wrong.

But i just don't quite believe that Floyd Mayweather goes around eating like a complete ******. When he knows that burning the candle, on one of its ends can seriously affect performance.

Floyd Mayweather hints that he is changing his diet.

In my opinion he is a good, talented young fighter ~ i personally think that his emulation of floyd in the ring will be his downfall. He doesnt roll punches like him (although has a sound defence) and he doesn't use his feet anywhere near as well...he cant go through a fight on the back foot throw less and (really) win. As seen with his 'loss' to ponce

how he can mix it with the best? I dont really know because with demarco it looked like he was finding his own way...but looking forward to seeibg what comes

My opinion on Broner, firstly the thing that stands out is that he's an arrogant **** but to be fair to him he can fight a bit, nothing special though, looks good when you stand in front of him, show him movement and a jab and he looks average.

His footwork is his main fault, he's a bit of a plodder and unless he sorts that out, he's more likely to end up a Berto than a Mayweather.

( I use the term Mayweather very loosely)
