Bulls****. You'd call them ducks. And Froch didn't say anything like that because he knows It's perfectly normal for the best MW to demand a fight with the best SMW.

I'm going to leave Ward out if this for a second, because I don't want this to turn into a GGG vs Ward thread.

Simply speaking on P4P the examples you use are something noone brings up, a a WW should not be expected to fight a SMW on the basis of P4P.

However a WW fighting a JWW or JMW that is rated P4P could and should happen.

As far as rating's Andre Berto is not a top 20 WW by any stretch right now, yet was just mandatory for Keith Thurman's title.

Basically your saying because of that you'd prefer Thurman-Berto over Thurman-Porter,Garcia, Pacquiao etc.

They are even more pointless than having four world titles. Just another excuse for these companies to make even more money. They are essentially giving a belt for something that already existed and didnt need a belt; top contenders.

Anyone in boxing or any fans who gives these "titles" any respect really is helping to make boxing worse and more muddled than it already is.

I can understand the casual fan thinking these belts have meaning in the grand scheme of things, but when more knowledgeable hardcore fans give these belts credance, well, it really is unforgivable.

It's like having a guy who comes into your living room every morning and turds on your floor right in front of you and instead of knocking the guy out you just let him carry on doing it and you even start to name the turds and pick your favourite.

This. People know a pretender when they see one.

what brighton said, they are fringe contender "stepup" belts.

freaking Lonsdale belt means more than most of them.

I just think the WBA has devalued itself to little more than meaninglessness through nothing but greed. All they seem to bothered about is sanctioning fees.

These regular titles actually prevent big fights from happening in my opinion.
