    Marvin Hagler my favorite all time fighter is in his prime..
    Free fights on national television, those are long gone..
    15 round fights..

    The best fight i ever saw Mancini-Kim, in November, Rip Kim.

    The champs actually fought 3x a year unlike now, when they just sit on their titles, and avoid taking on the hardest fights...

    No, the era. At my age, I just can't look at an 80's-90's scrap as a "Classic" era fight. Too many divisions, ruling bodies, larger fighters given the modern training regimen, etc...

    I loved the 80's. Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Holmes, Spinks, etc., etc.........what's not to like about that?

    Has to be '82. Pryor-Arguello, Gomez-Pintor, Chacon-Limon all within a couple months of each other. Holmes-Cooney, Mancini-Kim and many others. Hey, I just noticed, the top guys actually fought each other back then

    1981-Leonard-Hearns, Sanchez-Gomez, emergence of Greg Page as a contender, as well as Rosario and Mancini. Michael Spinks also won the world title, as did Sean O' Grady.
