Joshua came along just as social media was taking off, and that has become his core audience, people who literally attend event's with the sole intention of posting it online for views and likes.

Look at the card on Saturday, it was stacked, yet the majority of the fights aired to an empty arena, then suddenly everybody had their phones out for the main event, as it was trending world-wide.

Even Conor McGregor, look at this ****wit below performing for the camera, hoping he get's seen, he's slowly evolved into a parody of himself these day's almost like a tribute act.

Even Hearn and Fury were sat next to one another during the show, laughing and joking like they're the best of buddies, it's all so fake and Joshua is not filling out arenas because of his boxing ability.

Joshua, Whyte, Chisora et all, are they really that different ability wise from the generation that came before them ?

As @Beale said Joshua is pretty much at the same level as a prime Danny Williams and the current audience are getting fleeced.

Unless you're ringside, most of the attendees at stadiums are literally forced to watch the fights on their screens, plus their is no atmosphere until the main-event, and even then the majority of the crowd are to busy on their phones, looking to be noticed.

    It's the lost generation.

Apparently Bob Dylan has a no phones policy at his gigs now. That is the way forward.

    Good Move.

Afterall this is a time when wh have had the likes of Dave Allen headline the 02 arena and telling people he was only two win's away from a title shot against Joshua.

The sad thing is that he wasn't lying, and had he beaten Price, and then someone like Povetkin, whom he was actually calling out ahead of the Dave Price fight, Hearn would have been licking his lips at the prospect.

It's the social media age and the era of the superficial narcissist, hence why the likes of Joshua and Hearn have thrived and risen to the top of the pile.

Eventually like Connor McGregor they will slowly evolve into caricatures of themselves as people see beyond the superficial status games.

In Hearn's case he's almost their, especially when the NoContextHearn profile went live on socials, and another breakdancing performance like last weekends from Joshua and even his most ardent supporters will have to come out of denial.

Joshua looks good with his top off.
    That's the main thing.

Interesting that you say to “apply context” whilst having none of your own through the entire post so I’ll try and apply some for you.

“Joshua's opponents that fell were knockover jobs on mainly small, old or out of shape men for every one of his first 20 fights. All soft fights.” Whilst it’s true Joshua’s opponents have hardly been historically top quality maybe to “apply some context” you should do a post to compare his first 20 fights with that of his rivals - fury and wilder for example. See how their first 20 opponents stack up against his.

“This gave the impression that he had serious power which was nonsense compared to Wilder. Joshua's power was easily taken by Joey 12 Parker, Takam, Andy Ruiz twice, Usyk twice, Franklin and now Dubois.”

“compared to Wilder” we don’t know how wilders power would have been against Takam, Ruiz twice, Usyk twice, Franklin and DDD because he never fought them. The only person on your list who “Joshua’s power was easily taken by” and also faced Wilder was Parker. I can’t remember the result so for “context” let me know how Wilders power was taken in that one.

    Point 1 Let's give 2 British Examples

Derek Chisora was contracted to fight Wladmir Klitschko in his 13th fight for the World Title until the Toe Haye unification put paid to that and he was compensated.

Tyson Luke Fury was challenging a dangerous prime Del Boy Chisora for the British Title in his 15th fight after having already come through 2 hard fights against the British Andy Ruiz being John McDermott.

Point 2 - Joey 12 Parker was fighting a 38 year old Washed Up Wilder after a long absence.

Point 3 - Wilder fought the same level of fighter as Joshua here in the UK, Big Audley and obliterated him. Two Olympic Gold medalists, two padded records and two chokers when a punch lands on them.

So a British title fight against domestic level Chisora and going 1-1 with John McDermott is better than beating Wlad? That’s interesting.

Also wilders absence has no bearing on the Parker fight. He was absent through choice, you can’t discredit Parker just because Wilder doesn’t want to fight. 12-0 and it wasn’t even close, wilder got dominated.

Wilder has zero impact on Journeyman Joshua's CV as he ducked him.

Joyce obliterated Joey 12 yet Journeyman Joshua put zero dent in him - girl power at work.

As I stated Journeyman Joshua only bashes up small and old men - 41 year old and inactive Wladimir in previous 18 months prior to that fight fits that bill. That is context at work.

Journeyman Joshua has had 2 live opponents being Usyk and DDD but still managed to get battered all over New York by a chip butty.

Don’t change the subject. You think beating Chisora for a British title is better than beating Wlad which is absolute nonsense despite wlads age and unforced absence beforehand.

Maybe Joshua did duck Wilder, I don’t know. I only know what Wilder said himself.

I posted Joshua specialises in bashing up small and/or old men - my lord 41 years of age is ancient in boxing and even more ancient when out of the ring for 18 months. Fury involuntarily retired Wladimir and only huge loot got him to fight for one last time. That win right up there with Larry Holmes defeating Ali and Del Boy Chisora beating Tony Booth.

For that reason I refuse to condone going life and death with an old man and have this down as a minor achievement on the same level as Fury defending his World Title against Chisora for balance.

I still think Bruno did a better job personally, although AJ has done well, Frank had the whole country going to Vegas for that Tyson fight. He was a much bigger star I think, and actually came across better to the public. AJ is somewhat fragmented. He's brought money to the sport though no doubt about that.

You posted that all his first 20 fights were “soft fights”
That may be so and is a matter of opinion but compared to Wilder and Fury’s first 20 fights they were comparatively much more difficult which is a fact, nobody can state that a win over Chisora is better than a win over Wlad despite Wlad being 41.

Bashing an old man at 41 years of age is next to zero achievement for me.

Joshua has faced every opponent as strong favourite with Bookmakers and in my opinion he has only had TWO live tests - Usyk and Dubois.

His padded CV apart from 3 fights is turd.

Spot on. It became fashionable (on social media) to go to boxing and people saw it as a night out. Used to be loads of women dolled up in dresses at shows around 2016-19.
