:good Brook sets himself before he throws his shots (which is a bad thing to do against Porter). I hope Brook pulls it off, but he is up against it tonight. If Brook wins it will be one of the best results from an English fighter in a long time. Good luck to him:bbb
Needs to: Maintain focus and avoid any silly mistakes. Handle the occasion well and fight to the best of his ability. Be able to keep Porter at bay with the jab. Be able to see Potter's attacks coming and time him. Not be too predictable. Be durable and have warrior spirit.
Man...it was a weird weird night. I kept saying all fight long that Kell wasn't doing enough because Porter kept swarming him and pushing him back whilst throwing punches and I was sure the judges were going to score those rounds for Porter. Kell had his moments, but I felt they were too few and far between. He didn't jab enough and seemed content to hold on the inside. I really thought he should've tried the uppercut once he realized he was missing with the overhand right a lot. Had he employed the uppercut, he just might have gotten Porter out of there. But, I'm not complaining. I thought Kell fought very tough in there tonight, and Porter is simply an ugly fighter to look good against. So, props to the judges for once for actually giving credit to counter punching.
Brooks did what he needed to do to win the fight tonight, he out skilled Porter. Brooks did not allow Porter's dirty fighting to get him off focus, Porter kept hitting Brooks behind the head and should have been warned many times..............Brooks was impressive...............
