What kind of boxing matches will we see if Anthony Joshua loses his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr?

What good matches will happen if AJ loses his rematch with Ruiz and would we see AJ in the ring with an elite heavy if he loses?

I just wonder if AJ would ever compete for the title again and would he have to figt Usyk as an option? etc.

You worded this Strange, surely it would have been simpler to put
Where does Joshua go if he loses to Ruiz again

Any way to answer the question, I think he may retire. But if he doesn't he should fight a Schwartz type guy (no risk but high in a body's rankings) and then try and chase the Whyte Rematch, if I was him I'd be tarking a lot of rubbish after the loss to **** him off and Whyte for the rivalry
He wants to stay away from Ruiz, Wilder, Usyk and Fury. In fact I think Whyte beats him but that's probably the best way he'll get a big fight that's winnable

Depends how much desire he has, personally I would like to see him avenge his loss, and if he doesn't I would like to see him continue also.

You don't become a bad fighter over night, you become a better fighter if you gain that old school focus, and nobody can teach you that.
Whether he can regain that only he knows.

If AJ loses twice to Ruiz Jr then no way does he ever become a world champion again.

The belts would become scattered as Ruiz Jr isnt the man to hold them long term. But the mental scars on him, on top of those he already showed in quitting the first time will be too much.

He really can't afford to lose, however, if he does perhaps Price, Kownacki, or Chisora. If he loses it better not be by ko or he's done.

No I still think AJ is a threat to the whole division but I wouldn`t want to see a third fight v Ruiz, I would like to see Ruiz against the other elite heavies to tell just how bad AJ`s performance was.

Not sure if DAZN would allow him to fight Schwartz type of guy. They would throw him to the wolfs again. Of course if he still has a contract.

When he loses to Ruiz a second time, Joshua will be seen as damaged goods by Fury and Wilder, and whoever wins their rematch will more than likely try and negotiate Joshua for an easy voluntary defence and huge payday.

This. The only person that can hold Joshua back is himself. If Joshua focused more on boxing drills and quality sparring instead of over doing it with the strength training he’d be a much better fighter.

That doesn't necessarily mean he'll get it next year. After all, Whyte has already been WBC mandatory for 600+ days, plus Fury has Wilder tied up for one more fight beyond the upcoming contest in February 2020.

It all depends how his handlers view his mental make up both Lennox Lewis(McCall) and Wlad Klitschko(Corrie Sanders) had devastating loses while being the champion.. Both guys after losing fought 2 to 3 confidence builders to go along bringing in the great Emanuel Steward to forces the defensive jab style while using the height to protect the chin until the opponents is ready to fall..

If someone can teach AJ to adapt to that style then he can possibly have a dominant second reign.. The only threat both guys seriously faced was awkward opponents that was taller than them (Vitali and Fury) so AJs only threats would Fury and Wilder..
