What kind of Boxing Personality do you like?

That line cracks me up every time. Some of the stuff Tyson came out with was hilarious.

As for the question, I don't really favour any particular personality but I suppose I like guys like Marvin Hagler or Nigel Benn. They weren't guys who just ripped on the other guy, but both were definite badasses and when it came down to it, they were all business and went to war.

 

I love a good trash talker as long as they can back it up. I also like the real humble types who just take care of business.

 

Tito Trinidad. A serious competitor who doesn't really get outta hand. He's got a heart of gold. In his staredown with Vargas the machismo, arrogance was written all over Fernando's face. Tito then tells him in Spanish "This is the good stuff. Are you ready for the good stuff?"

I also like Roger Mayweather's trash talk. In the last Mayweather/Hatton he says "We gonna put some season on his ass. Put some pepper.. And put some salt.. Then throw that mother ****er in the grill. And watch him burn baby burn. I'ma see you soon.. Mother ****er."

I would say that i like some kind of "mild" trahtalkers.. Nothing like "i eat your children" or stuff like that..
I like AA in that way..
He said to Miranda: If i couldn't beat a man with broken jaw i would become a night Watchman. Or Miranda really has a nice body perhaps he should become a swimsuit model.
Or to Marquez, after Raul said that he has doubts about AA having the flu: I thank Raul for his diagnosis. Maybe he shall become doctor after i end his career on Saturday..
You know just a little bit sarcastic without really abusing the opponent

 

Tyson is by far my favorite, his words alone made me that much more want to see his fights. His trash talk is that of legends, I love when he said **** like " Come over here so I could **** you in the ass infront everyone", or the famous "I will **** you till you love me you ******", there's just too many classic moments of Tyson, the man will be remembered for a long time.

Class by far. I personally prefer a scary serious staredown as opposed to a whole gang of bull**** being thrown around verbally.

I have a profound liking towards boxers that not only are humble, but have a humanitarian agenda as well.

The only really good talker ever was Ali.

Modern day talkers like Mayorga and Miranda fail big time when it comes to the ring. In the majority of cases, I think talking is a sign of weakness.

 

All sorts really, I'm promiscuous on this front. Hopkins with his racist crap (though I don't usually like that kind of thing), Cotto for his quiet silent assassin type mentality, Mayweather for his arrogance but backed up with skills, Hatton and his self-depricating respect the other guy attitude, all the Mayweathers with their outlandish wit - that seems to come out of no mans land.

Found one I dislike - Ferocious Fernando Vargas. Vargas always seemed to use all his energy before the fight - in the press conferences. And he got lucky against Winky being the main reason I dislike him. And Miranda does not impress me too much with his talk - though his KOs are flash.

 

Usually blue collar tough guys,hymble guys with personality though,like Pavlik or Ward.
Only trash talkers I like are the funny inteligent ones,Larry Holmes was great,Ali also but my favorite of all time is Ricardo Mayorga,the guys has the bes lines.
