    They most likely did.
For a $200 million +/plus, PPV megafight, they have to make sure their scripted plan comes through, without many fans noticing.
That's why the judge's misleading scoring was used as a distraction, to keep fans focusing on the bad scorecard and not notice that the fight was pre-arranged scripted/fake/fixed.

Pac had to score a dramatic KO of Lucas so that a Floyd vs Pac rematch becomes more interesting and demanded by the public now.

That's why TR had to invest in making this Pac v Lucas fight, because it almost got cancelled cause it was having financial problems in trying to make it, but it had to be made with a dramatic win for Pac, which is why Pac is now going public challenging Floyd to a rematch.

smart business moves, if only Floyd buys into it, which he might.

    Matthysse is 35 years old.

He has scored only one relevant victory in the last five years. Yes. 1 good win in 5 years.

That was, what, his third fight at 147?

Pacquiao is an ATG legend, one of the best ever. Based on what they've shown in recent years, def Pacquiao should have outworked him to a UD. The only question was if Lucas would randomly land hard on the chin. And the surprise was with Pac legitimately stopping him. The way Lucas fought and what he brought to the table was not a surprise.

I don't know if it was fixed, had he won he could have made millions more. My guess is that Matthysse was way out of his league and had lost the fight psychologically even before he set foot in the ring. He acknowledged that Pacquiao is a legend, and I'm sure he doesn't consider himself one. I also believe he was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the event, never being on that big a stage.

I don't know why fans don't understand simple concepts like having levels of talent in boxing.

    example:

    Level 1. Pacquiao/Mayweather/Marquez
    Level 2. Thurman, Garcia, Brook
    Level 3. Broner, Matthysse, Porter

Nobody knows what kind of, but this fight should be investigated because it can ruin boxing sport. The World Champion should not have fought that way.

You have to go to hell and back to beat Pacquiao. Unless you run and pot shot like sissy boy Floyd Mayflower.Obviously Mathysse wasn't game enough for that. It was only going to get worse for him as the fight goes on.

Look at Margarito eye and Cotto's face they were a mess.

Marquez was drinking blood through his nose when he scored that spectacular KO.

Morales nose looked like a Eagles beak. Etcetera, etcetera.

That's how it is when you fight a legend.Only real warriors and true ATG's can beat Pacquiao.Unless Pacquiao get's OLD overnight. No guarantee win, you have to go to hell and back. That's how it is.

Horn tried to win and that was enough.

Lucas tried not to hurt Manny and he went to hell and back as a result.

Lucas is not a multi-million dollar fighter.
Lucas did lose the fight mentally before he stepped foot, because I believe he was drugged, as part of the bribe deal, that's why he was weak.

Pac needed this fixed win so he can try to set a Floyd rematch.
