Roger Mayweather said that Forrest would have been Floyd's most difficult test.

I would say that the style that would work best would be a tall boxer-puncher with handspeed and a very good jab and straight. (A southpaw would make things even trickier.) Hearns would be a nightmare for Mayweather. You could also have success with pressure fighting, but it needs to be intelligent pressure, because Mayweather is very used to people coming in trying to beat him in that way. Duran (with his great head movement, boxing ability and inside fighting) would have been a real problem for Mayweather.

The only problems Margo would pose would be that PBF would have to move more than he's used to and he might break his hand on Margo's head because he would hit him with so many flush shots and clean counters.

A relentless pressure fighter with a GRANITE chin, good speed and good power. And I mean GRANITE, guys have tried that **** before like Hatton and Corrales but couldn't handle the incoming from Floyd. Lotta mentions of Margarito, but he was too slow and he didn't punch hard anymore once he got busted for having illegal wraps. Somebody like a prime Trinidad who just swarmed you. Even then, I don't know that Trinidad had the chin. Maybe Quartey. Somebody mentioned Duran, that's a good pick.

Part of what makes Floyd so dangerous is how well he can adapt. Just look at the Judah fight.

i can see a guy who can make the fight dirty and force an inside fight may give floyd a good run, but at the same time that guy has to be quick with his hands and be able to punch at different angles. that's part of the reason why i am a bit intruiged about guerrero and what he'll do, and whether or not he will try the tactics he used on berto against floyd, but at the same time not feeling he has a chance of pulling off the upset just because he's not that quick with his hands.

also, prime pac could have been an interesting matchup between the two, probably 2009 pac. i don't know if pac wins but his speed and punches from many angles would have made it at least interesting, maybe taking rounds due to activity. don't know if it'd be enough though.
