What kind of money do tomato cans get for their fights?

Those guys must really suck.

A guy I know, Ray Lovato (who knocked out Roger Mayweather), was making 3-5 thousand when he was coming up. He topped out at a little of a 100 G's when he fought Trinidad.

We have fighters in the UK who are definately not tomato cans, but fight every month and lose 4/6 rounders , they know defence and are there for up and coming fighters . I know they get around £800 - £1,000 per fight.

Some of these guys have had over 100 fights .

They are very important for the sport and always entertain , and rarely get stopped.

In Germany a tomato can can make millions of Marks, plus they let your cousin ref, if you like.

For a boxers first fight they will generally get about 500, but it gets split up among the promoter, trainer, manager, so not much left. Next fight about 1000, and same things, gets split. Under the right guidance they can make a few g's, also depending if they are fighting a bigger name as well. If they are tomato cans, then they will probably only stay at a few G's per fight

 

It really just depends on who and where you fight. When I was beginning I made between 400-700 a fight, short notice, regional type fights. So what this guy is sayign is accurate. Now, if you travel you can make a lot more. If you fight a guy with a recognized name or in a main event type fight you can easily make 2k-5k in a night.
