Cottos promoter said they would be interested but not for May in the future sometime.

I reckon you might get goods odds on GGG, a good bit closer than Murray. Cotto name and stature might make him a close enough underdog, good money to be made if thats the case.

    What do you think

I'm sure many thought this in the Martinez fight as well

Then they got all butt-hurt when Cotto mopped the floor with Martinez.

Do you think he'd have a chance against Golovkin, Im not even that high on GGG but he would hammer Cotto, Id put more than I can afford on a GGG knockout

I do think he has a chance

But I would still favor Golovkin

I can't see the odds being terribly good. There's a lot of chatter from casual fans of Cotto who think he will school/knock out Golovkin though. They might part with their cash.
I think it's a horrible style matchup for Cotto, and give him in the region of zero chance.

Yeah but because of his name and the build up as a lineal fight or whatever they might give something like 1/5 on a GGG knockout which would be great.

Martinez was coming off a fight most felt he lost vs. Murray. Golovkin just destroyed him.

Cotto vs. Martinez was seen as a 50/50 fight by many.

    Let's not re-write history.

Maybe slightly better odds than the Murray fight but the bookies aren't daft.

In the same way that there is a chance a paraglider could land in the ring while they are fighting, yeah theres a chance.

    na

A chance because Cotto has a great jab and is much more skilled than any of Golovkins previous opponents

Somehow I don't you'll be laughing when Cotto is in Coma, GGG is seriously bad for the health of Super Middleweights, what happens to a blown up Light Welterweight.

even if he gets knocked out, it'll be pretty quick I'm thinking

He won't be able to take a sustained beating from Golovkin

So he won't take even as much punishment as he did in the Margarito or Pacquiao fights

I hope GGG pulls his punches and drags out the torture. As slow and painful as he can make it, and when Cotto takes a knee, take it easy on Kneeguel so the ref doesn't stop it, and then drop him again.
