Just like the Floyd cotto (and margo) fight not happening, it should be more due to the effect of Arum's desire to keep the fight money in-house, than anything Roach had to say.

    Pac's last 3 fights...

    TKO 2 Ricky Hatton
    TKO 12 Miguel Cotto
    UD Josh Clottey

    Floyd's last 3 fights...

SD 12 Oscar De La Hoya
    TKO 10 Ricky Hatton
    UD 12 Juan Manual Marquez

So, in other words, if Mayweather were to KO Mosley, then yes, that would be more impressive than what Pacquiao did to Clottey, but Pacquiao's previous wins in spectacular fashion negate any reason for PBF to usurp Pac at no. 1, even if PBF beats SSM in spectacular fashion.

If they rightfully kick pac down to #2 after Floyd beats Mosley maybe they can pressure him into signing the contract with Mayweather.:deal

Doubt either would happen though unless the match is a show-stopper with Floyd clearly coming on top..

Add in the fact that this fight is probably going to sell big, and we have a case for Mayweather vs emmanuel not happening. Why bother fighting him when he should get the bigger split and they're still giving you all the credit.

so much ****ing pain in this ****ing game

A knockout. If he does the same ole Bull**** boxing and moving, he wont top Pac Man. Honestly, Most people want to see Mayweather lose, thats why they tune in to see. When Pacquiao fights, people tune in cause they know there's gonna be a fight.

In floyd's defense, if he manages to beat Shane in spectacular fashion, it would be enough to solidify his position on the same level p4p, higher than anyone else on the welterweight scale alone.

Well todays more about getting the money (more money than either will ever really need) and dick waving rather than just getting in there and proving who's the best... different eras, different people

yeah, i agree. He'd be the #1 Welterweight and a favorite over Manny. But, if he beats Shane in the manner he beat De la Hoya, I wont be impressed. yes a win is a win...but come on, really, when was the last time you were in owe of Mayweather??? for me, it was when he beat Corrales. Last year Manny put us all in owe, as well when he beat Barrera
