does anybody know if it will effect joe that he will have to perform infront of 60000+ in his own livingroom? i meen is he mental strong or will he fell the presure building up? i remember kessler appering sort of stressed up leading up to the andrade fight cause he were in the center of it all, media, newspapers ect
Calzaghe revels in it. I percieve JC trying to play up to the crowd to be a bigger risk than him being overwhelmed by it.
Calzaghe's too experienced to let that get to him. If he loses, it won't be because he let the stage get to him.
Joe is so relaxed about things these days, he'll take it all in his stride. One thing's for sure, the occasion will not get to Calzaghe. He's used to this and feels comfortable with large crowds. The only small worry I have about Joe is that the adrenalin will be pumping and he might do something rash quite early... but then again, he's learnt that particular lesson I think. I think the more relevent question will be how Kessler handles a massive hostile crowd away from his comfort zone. If he can handle this, he can handle anything.
Kessler don't seem to worry about fightin in Cardiff, the ring is the same, and i dont think it will influence on he's game. He's so cold so wacth out Calzaghe!
didnt joe cry before the lacyfight! im not sure but i think someone talked about it being told in his book? if so, wasnt that because of lack of confidence/nerves?
i cant imagine joe being to worried about fighting manfredo, but he might fell difrent going into the kessler fight,so i dont see the parralel between the two fights:deal
there was an incident whilst training for the lacy fight where he damaged his hand and apparently broke down, then his dad laid into him and told him something along the lines of 'you'll be forever known as a ducker if you drop out of this fight'.
