It could happen..remember Eubank used to be promoted by big mick. Not sure what their current relationship is like though
Eubank is a free agent promotion wise as he is looked after by his father. I don't think there would be much issue in getting the fight on if both parties wanted the fight.
You had ever heard of Darren barker when he was 24..... Vastly overrated. Sorry to be so blunt, but Darren was just lucky that's all.
Have to disagree with you, he wasn't vastly overrated at all. In fact he was a very good boxer and was not lucky, he was rather unlucky that he had quite serious injury/injuries that made it difficult at times for him to train.
ok we'll disagree on that one ..but the guy also said Barker was 'levels above' Blackwell .....was he? At 24?....:blood
Levels? Hell no. Above? well Baker was only in his second year as a pro and only just won a regional title so it's difficult to say.
I know but Nick had zero amateur career, and Darren had a big one. Barker - at any age - didnt have the physicality or the fluidity to last 12 with Nick IMO.
Considering Blackwell has zero amateur experience he is doing very well, learning on the job and looks to be continuously improving. I like him, He could be anything, also there are so many belts and so many opportunities I wouldn't rule out a version of a world title if it is timed right and a title fight is here in the UK.
I'm a big fan, hope he goes on to win a world title in the future, will be going to his fights in the future.
Yes, no am fights (just a few unlicensed 'fairground' fights against all-comers shapes and sizes and he only slip of a lad himself back then). Fought seasoned world-level 30-yr old Murray after half-dozen fights, at age 20. Amazing. Real 'throwback' stuff. He would murder Barker over the second half of a 12-rounder. I've NO doubt about that at all.
