Campbells the most talented of the group how far he get wel see one rusty performance after a difficult time and long lay off means nothing I also think woodruff is underated, joshua could win a title in a weak division and callum smith will get to euro level no higher in my opinion

The odds are if one of them makes it to the top, the thread starter (you) have done well to call them out at this stage of their careers. Two would be sensational!

Yeah it will be hard, the only British fighters I have ever called early in their career to win world titles later in their careers are Scott Harrison, Carl Froch, Darren Barker and Kell Brook, Carl Frampton. So far so good, and I will now add Callum Smith and Antony Joshua to that list.

None of them were World Champions though, were they?! Title holders yes, and some more prestigious than others granted, but Audley was a title holder...

To call a World Champ, that is hard!

Callum Smith has boxing in his blood: http://www.givemesport.com/485424-callum-smith-has-boxing-in-his-blood

This is the article I wrote regarding Callum Smith. He is a fantastic prospect and he has passed every test so far. Those ten rounds on Saturday were extremely important and they'll stand him in good stead for the next stage of his career!

Scott Harrison won 9 world title fights nd draw 1 by the age of 28, Carl Froch has won something like 12 world title fights, Barker won I in US, would have had an even better career if it was not for injuries. Also cant remember Audley being a world champ

Yes they all won world titles, Froch met Ward for a crack at the World Championship, but none were World Champions. Audley beat 'Sonny Liston' for his world title... The Dutch Sonny Liston!:scaredas:

Abstract concepts are always up for debate. But for boxing to go forward you do need one champ per division, and (with hindsight) at no time were any of them fighters the finest in their division.

Do you think Golovkin, Geale and Sturm etc have never been world champs?

As 160 lbs lineage is pretty clear Hopkins undisputed - Taylor - Pavlik - Martinez - Cotto now.

They have all been world title holders. But as you suggest Cotto currently has the best claim to being World Champion. A fight with Golovkin would 'clarify' things,

I rate Cotto highly, but for me GGG beats him every day of the week

I too think Golovkin would win. It is a fight that really should be made, because Cotto would be a live underdog none the less.

Joshua has the athletic potential to go all the way. Let's hope he also has the minerals for it.

    Hope he does it.
