What made Bellew take a fight this high risk/low reward? He will most certainly lose.

Nobody else around for him to fight? Don't get me wrong, I don't mind two evidently good fighters fighting each other but in terms of business decision, surely this was a mistake? How is a former B-level LHW gonna beat one of the best cruisers around? It does seem like a ridiculous decision but I sure can't wait to see how the fight pans out.

Money must be good as it'll be a 50/50 split plus he may not get another shot anytime soon and he's not exactly young at 33.

I hope Bellew wins but I'd rate his chances at 30 percent at best.

Makubu is probably the least well known and least proven of the belt holders.

Its probably the only fight tony has off winning and he was probably the cheapest of the lot so easy to bring to the UK.

Low reward? The WBC Cruiserweight title is on the line!

High risk? Yes. But he has a better shot against Makabu than he would against Lebedev or Glowacki.

Makabu is no bum, and as already mentioned is probably the least well known of the top operators in the division, but although it would be a long shot, this is a fight Bellew can win.

There is no doubt that Makabu would have been the cheapest and easiest of the belt holders to bring over here, but the WBC ain't to be sniffed at.

Having met Tony in person on several occasions, he's always come across as a very decent bloke, and i will be cheering him on.

He is no beltholder, They're fighting for Drozd vacated WBC belt.
I can't see Bellew win that though.

Because he wants to give it large in front of his local people, the only snag is that he's getting carried out of the ring, Makubu will do a number on the bum.

Don't you just love it when the cynical, doubting, hating, aholes have to eat crow ?

Bellew dismantles a guy who was supposed to blow him away inside 6 rounds, and all of a sudden Makabu has degenerated into a bum ?

    Well done Tony Bellew.
