I noticed that hand pumping thing (especially in the slow-mo replay of the Mayweather KO). Roach really is a hell of a tactition.

Roach nailed it, Hatton was never a defensive master anyway, he just charges in and overpowers opponents with some ugly tactics here and there. Pacquiao had none of that and just took him out early.

He was so ****ing predictable. Thats what lost him the fight.
He did the same **** he has always done. Went running in like an idiot.
So much for mayweathers training and tactics.
    I blame mayweather.
His game plan walked right in to pacs hands.
If i was ricky i would beat the **** out of Mayweather for prepairing him so badly.
He was made to look like a fool.
All he had to do was hold back and keep his hands up instead of trying to bull rush the man who is quicker to the punch.
    The kmockout was inevitable.
All this talk of patience and head movement turned out to be bull****.
It was the same old ****ing Hatton.
I feel sorry for Hatton, He was never in the fight. And its not like the warning signs were not there in the first round.
Surely it was Mayweathers job to tell him to watch out for the hook that everybody else saw coming.?

Hatton showed his weaknesses against Malignaggi (yes, i am aware he dominated him). He couldn't open with anything but a lunging hook. He came forward in straight lines and was totally predictable. Paulie timed him a few times coming in, but Hatton mistook it for a passing breeze. Pac however has unbelievable timing, and although i laughed at Roach when he said Pac has developed one punch knockout power at 140, he is correct, and he truly made Hatton pay in the most dramatic fashion.

It stunned Hatton that Pacman was so strong. He new Pacman was going to be fast but his power is what through Hatton off. When Hatton gets hit hard or gets hurt in fights he never recovers, just ask Money. Pacman vs Money sometime next year would be nice but I see Pacman fighting Sugar Shane or Cotto next, if Cotto gets through Clottey, that would set up a Mega Fight with Mayweather Jr. People pick Pacman over Money but Money is not a punching bag like Hatton, he throws combos at all angles and Pacman will have to learn defense, soon as he misses with one of those leaping hooks he throws Mayweather will be right on his ass. Plus Mayweather has the best defense I have ever seen. He is not going to stand in front of Pacman. This will be a style of fighting that will frustrate and confuse Pacman, that's why a fight with Sugar Shane or Cotto first would be better for him. As for Marquez, he won't last 9 rounds with Mayweather, he trying so hard to match Pacman that he has gotten himself in a bad position. I love Mayweather, he is the best and with in the next couple of years he will prove iit.

hmm says... basically, Hatton displayed his old self. We didn't see anything that was expected of him. no head movement, still doing that lunging punch that got him ko'ed with a check hook (got ko'ed again with a hook). Everything was there. The difference between Mayweather and Roach, Mayweather tries to change a person's style (none of his results showed) while Roach only refines it by fixing their mistakes. It makes sense to focus on your forte. I genuinely feel, that Team Hatton got overconfident and utilized so many techniques, gameplans, etc that it all just didn't mesh and fall through. I saw nothing new in that ring with Hatton, or perhaps Pac just made it look that way.

One of the first punches Pacman threw in the fight was a big right hook..it missed.

If it had landed, that might have been the fight in round one.

This is a good point. Thats why I conclude that PBF just doesn't throw enought punches to beat PAC by decision. He is masterful at what he does and an artist. But his output isn't as high as it should be at times.

The only reason his fight with ODH was as close as it was AND perhaps the only reason RH lasted as long as he did is Floyd not letting his hands go.

He did the same thing I thought he would improve, he closed the distance quickly with his hands Down .. I thought Floyd would have fixed that chinq in Ricky's armor but as we can all see he didn't a fundamental mistake and Sr didn't fix it. Roach is not a genius anyone could see that was ricky's biggest issue.
