    A few things.

    A) Mayorga STILL has a chin of absolute stone. However, he can be worn down.

    B) Mayorga actually boxed very well in their fight...MUCH better than he usually does. It was actually maybe his best performance. If he boxes that way in the future, there' hope for him to win another title.

    C) Shane is sometimes a bit too clinch happy and will not fight on the inside unless he really wants to.

Mayorga was shown to be quicker than Margo and also he was able to catch Mosley with that Uppercut in the first round, that Shane admitted hurt him a bit. So Mayorga was able to get the respect right away. He always moves a bit quicker and is unorthodox.

I'm not so sure about that, i was impressed with what attributes Angulo brings to the table, and i think Mayo has seen better days,BUT i could be wrong i have been b4

It's his style to sell fights. He takes boxing very seriously. I scored his fight vs. Forrest (2nd) to Mayorga by 1 point. Ricardo Mayorga outpointed Vernon Forrest!

Of course it seems Mayorga's weight and Mosley's career-record 11 months layoff made the difference. As many, I based my Margarito by UD prediction on the Mayorga fight, where Mosley clearly looked faded, over the hill and Mayorga was ahead on many of experts' scorecard (I hade Shane ahead).

But it seems a lighter opponent, the Mayorga fight being only a few months ago and Richardson/Hopkins in the training camp made the difference.

    A motherf*cking huge difference. I'm absolutely amazed.

Yeah gotta agree with Mayorgas awkward style and it looks like Shane had an off night, I had him down by 2 going into the 12th I think and thought he looked shot to pieces.

Basically, Mayorga was much harder to figure out. He isn't a fighter that has a set style, and he can change it up throughout the fight. He also did a much better job of boxing again Shane than he's ever done.

Shane had Margorito's game down after the 1st round. The guy did try anything different, and Shane was able to time him with the jabs and the straight right the entire fight.

So Margo is just much easier to figure out than Mayorga was, simple as that.

I think Shane underestimated Mayorga, honestly. He saw what Tito and Hoya did and just saw Mayorga as a temporary fight while the ones he wanted came around. Mayorga, however, saw it as his last chance to make a comeback. Mayorga was prepared for Mosley. I think once the fight started Mosley started to brawl and think he could just wipe Mayorga out. I think his awkwardness was him trying to figure mayorga out when Mayorga was already in front of him and this showed in his performance. He blasted Mayorga out with pure will and power but had nothing of a game plan. I think OScar and Tito took Mayorga more seriously.

I think that Marg believed in his own hype that his chin can withstand anything. In his previous fights, he was sloppy but not that sloppy. Still congrats to Shane

Shane's fight plan for Margarito was well orchestrated and executed to a tee. Against Mayorga Shane didn't seem to have a fight plan and was also thrown off a bit by Mayorga's awkwardness. Shane's performance against Mayorga was exactly why I pick Margarito in this fight so my hat off to Shane for coming back strong.

    Truly a great performance.

    Handspeed!
Mayorga has very fast hands, and consistently beat Mosely to the punch.
Also, its very difficult to prepare for Mayorga, as who can replicate his style in sparring?

Shane had a better gameplan for Margarito. It's that simple.
