Mayorga came in very heavy into the fight and is also a akward type fighter so his punches are harder to predict then the come straight forward margo.

Mosely fought a good fight that night. And so did Mayorga. Mayorga looked better than past , I thought.

Styles make fights, Mayorga is more explosive, faster, more unorthadox and unpredictable when throwing a combination. This scenario between Mosley/Mayorga/Margarito is a mirror image of the Hopkins/Calzaghe/Pavlik situation.

Cotto boxed Shane, and used his defense, speed, movement at times, and counter punching to beat Shane...while Cotto would not stand to to toe and fight AM like Shane did in which Cotto didn't think he had to or could do. Cotto fought smart against AM offensively, but where Shane tied AM up at times, Cotto was getting hit and trying to do what Shane did but couldn't most of the time. Cotto moved against Shane which was smart. Shane stayed center ring, and fought AM using his speed and power advantage some people here thought Shane didn't have. Shane just had more power than AM, and a more complete arsenal/selection of punches to land on AM. AM was dead meat for Shane. As I said, if we all thought AM would lose, this is how he would lose, and I see many of us similiarly thinking the same thing about AM right now. :good

Mayorga seemed to have a solid strategy, that he executed pretty well. Be the bigger man and use his size and strength to try to wear Mosley down, throw flurries, and, when possible, a wild haymaker, and clinch constantly to break Mosley's rhythm. It worked pretty well. I don't think Mosley was ready for that kind of fight, Mayorga was more disciplined in there (a weird Ricardo Mayorga kind of discipline, granted) than he has been in many of his other fights.
