Whether because of a time crunch, many are accurate but bare-bones dull, IB. The days of beat reporters like Bob Considine scribbling in 20 minutes the Louis-Schmeling rematch; one of the greatest fight write-ups ever (thrilling) and still made deadline, are long gone.
They don't really need to be mutually exclusive JG. A good report can have any combo of the 2. Or none of either. I guess it all depends on who's writing it., who's reading it and what they are looking for. But I guess i'd rather have a boring but accurate description, as opposed an exciting tall tale when reading about a fight.I
Seen Koizuma's byline for a long time, D, dating back to Ring Magazine, but it was pretty straight-forward, nothing exceptional. What made him stand-out for you?
