so ****in' hateable? There have been numerous fighters throughout this sport's history that have ran there mouth and talked **** and acted like true ****in' geeks while doin' that and most everything else that they do, but I've never heard or felt so much discontent for another fighter. I got my reasons, what are yours? Rilly curious.

His ugly attitude, his comments that he clearly doesn't think about. His immaturity.... take your pick.

I was so much more a fan of his before he moved up in weight. At that point, he seemingly decided as long as people THINK he can beat anyone, he didn't have to prove it.

The fact that he made more money in one fight than most boxers will make their whole career & the fact that he still has his "0"

I'll add this and let everyone else think for themselves: Mayweather was a great kid early on when his daddy was in his corner. He had a great attitude and seemed respectful of other fighters and their corners. Then came Roger and that insipid 50cent and the whole thing, save his ring talent, went totally to ****. I'm not attempting to denigrate Floyd's BOXING SKILLS here. I'm attempting to focus on Floyd the person right now.

The fact is he beat alot of people's favorite fighters here most of which with ease and talked **** while doing it. Add the fact that he's never really been knocked down or really hurt in a fight he retired undefeated on top and went out on his terms and it drives people crazy because they never got a chance to see him humbled in the ring.:yep That's the real truth right there some will admit it some won't but that';s it in a nutshell.

 That's why you think everyone hates him? The old " you're just jealous" line only a small step above the equally ridiculous "Because he's black.." :patsch

If Floyd didnt speak the way he speaks, he wouldnt be remembered & not as many ppl in the boxing industry would acknowledge him. Floyd understood that he was too good to be another Shane Mosley, he admits he wanted fame just like Oscar and he got it.

He was 100% more likable when he was still at 130 & 135. Even when he talked smack, it was NOTHING like how he ended up, being a cartoon villain.

PBF tried the nice guy olympic bronze medalist act it didn't work. He still got no respect despite being one of the best talenst in boxing at that time. He quickly got tired of media darlings like Gatti and Oscar getting the spotlight when he knew he was more talented and better. So he switched to the bad guy role to make a name for himself and it worked.

How bout you get a new fighter to hat. There's thousands of active fighters that you can hate on, stop picking on retired fighters.

it's all an act. i actually find his persona entertaining. it's him holding the welter weight title hostage and not taking on any of the best fighters at WW that pisses me off.
