PBF was on the pound 4 pound list for like 10 years. He was in the shadow of Oscar because of Arum. So when he finally got his time to shine he made himself as big as Oscar, can u blame him?

See, he got the respect. What he wanted was the FAME a'a DLH. Money and respect are not the same. And you know as well as I know it had NOTHING to do with his attitude that he wasn't getting the money, it was his style that did NOT attract crowds. DLh did attract becuase he had entertaining fights (well, earlier, but the fans stayed) and so did Gatti. People WANTED to see them and were ready to pay up. You can't deny that. Since when do fighters get paid by talent? Someone better tell Winky, Ivan Colderon, and Finito Lopez that...

His persona makes me like him even more. He admits to everything that hes done wrong and doesnt hide anything. Hes real like Hopkins is!

    1. His personality. Floyd may be a nice guy, but every time we see him, he is acting like a jerk. That whole, "I have lots of money" gimmick does not make anyone likable. Remember the Million Dollar Man in wrestling? Some people can pull of the act (Ali, Naz, etc.) you knew they were just playing up for the promotion; but with Floyd, you get the impression that he's really just an immature ass.

    2. He talks big, but he fights boring. If you were to judge Mayweather by his hyperbole, you'd think you were about the second coming of Ray Robinson or Jack Dempsey. What you get is the first coming of Corey Spinks (I know Floyd is better than Corey, but from an excitment standpoint it's close).

    3. He seemed to not be very concerned with proving that he was the best. We tend to like athletes that seek challenges and overcome them. Floyd was never interested in being the greatest boxer, he was more interested in making people think he was the greatest boxer.

I find his style entertaining. JMM, Calderon & PBF have the most entertaining styles

He is just a sorry top P4P fighter. Period. Instead of cleaning out a division and at least stating his case over and over steadily like Ali/SRL,etc. He doesn't have the **** and balls to face the best WWs one at a time. He claims to be the best boxer in the world yet he doesn't walk the walk like so many others out there. I wouldn't mind so much if he were more active in the ring rather than the tabloids.

Basically he has more and more become a waste of talent. One or two fights a year has become bitter sweet over the past few years.

Cleaning out a division makes you a real p4p fighter?
How can he be a sorry p4p fighter but he was on the p4p list for years?:huh

**** that! if you're gonna do a lot of barking you have to back it up with some SERIOUS ****in biting!

cant bark like a beast and bite like a toothless crack *****!:bart :nono

for instance...Mayorga imo is the BIGGEST **** talker and NEVER backs it up, but in the end he always apologizes and continues for the next fight

and it goes back to the bark and bite idea...he barks real loud saying hes gonna go out there and kill his opponent...and he fights in the same manner...hes sadly not effective, but a cartoon villian nonetheless...hence why he gets BIG fights for someone who lacks soooo much skill and doesnt have much success in the ring

Mayweather claims to always he's gonna beat peoples asses and im expecting him to go in there and do that...not backpedal his way to a points decision...****in SNOOZE FEST! :tired

and seeing as how he claims he's the best but cherry picking his opponents from 140+ does NOT say much about his validity as a ATG

he had serious skills...and to not see him use it against all others with talent was an insult to me as a fan...:verysad

If he comes back to fight Margarito, I'll respect him.... Maybe even root for him.... yeah I'd root for him and he would probably win too.
Margarito is a machine but Mayweather is a more high end machine.

IMO. Not just a belt or two and this guy not that guy.

He should just be removed from the equation if he is gonna be part time. Floyd is part time and I would fire his ass without hesitation :good
