I see people are saying that Fury is a bum, he's this, he's that. What makes you think so? Let's look at his attributes: The fastest superheavyweight of all time I don't think this is up for debate. There's not been a big man that posseses his overall quickness. Size and Reach Fury has a ridiculously long reach, 85", the longest reach in boxing currently and he knows how to use it, he was able to completely negate Wlad's jab which has been in the past used as a battering ram to stop his opponents in their tracks, against Fury it was completely ineffective. Boxing skills Great boxing skills, footwork, defense, good jab, admittedly he doesn't have the greatest punching technique but I think he's actually evolved his style in such a way to further impose and concentrate at speed and skill over his opponents. Furthermore, he has something which is completely rare for a man of his size which is his inside ability and he's able to do it well, so he can box at multiple ranges and well. So what exactly makes this guy so ****, naysayers? Is it purely his chin? Even if that's true that doesn't make him a bum or anything of the sort. This man is the truth you have to recognize it.
He beats everyone in the HW division. He's also going to do some high profile MMA matches and trash the competition.
Tony Tubbs and Lennox Lewis both had faster hands than Fury.. You are Confused by his flickering Jab and foot speed. Maybe you can make a case for Bowe and Akinwande as well.
Fury is fast for a big guy and fluid reminds me of conney but with less power. Is crazy and is a natural fighting man that is unusual in giant .will take some beating with the current HWs .don't be surprised if he self destructs is not level headed like Vlad and that is what makes him exciting and probably means he won't be around for ever.enjoy it while you can.
points > damage. fury knows how to keep the distance and proven his defence. his last 3 fights have proven his ability to not take punches, one of them against a super champion who knocks most ****ers out.
This right here. I am one of those people and yes there is room in my view of the sport to be persuaded in subsequent performances. Because somebody finally beat Wlad (however tepid the performance) I'll start keeping a weather eye on the heavies. Maybe it will get interesting now. As far as this purported "speed"...meh...for his size I suppose. One thing I like about Fury is that he seems to do the trash talk well.
Fury's combinations are slow. The only punch he throws with quickness is the Jab. I don't think you even know who Akinwande is, but it's ok mate.
Yes I do , Akinwande could have been a great fighter he had all the dimensions and was of decent skill but he had no heart and who's best win was probably Welch or Zolkin. Hardly anything spectacular plus throw into the mix his and Lewis' title match which was one of the most atrocious fights of all time.
Lewis v Akinwande was far worse. Infact there was more hugging in 5 rounds than throughout the whole of Wlads career and beat in mind the only punch Akinwande threw momentarily dropped Lewis making his knee touch down although the referee missed it.
