Gennady Golovkin has this ability to tailor his style to his opponent. He is well versed in the styles of puncher, boxer and pressure. And he's shown throughout his career to play the role of whatever style suits that fight.

Boxers usually struggles against pressure fighters. So what does Golovkin do against Geale? He stalks, pressures, cuts the ring and finishes him. Easy work.

Punchers usually struggle against boxers. So what does Golovkin do against Lemieux? GGG plays the role of boxer to neutralize Lemieux's power and unleashes the sledgehammer jab. Easy work.

Pressure fighters usually struggle against punchers. Golovkin hasn't really faced a true pressure fighter yet, but given GGG's power does anyone believe they have the chin to try and walk him down? It wouldn't be a good idea to pressure a man with a punch this big.

He fights the same every time out because his opponents aren't good enough to force him into 2nd gear. He stalks well, pressures well, and is highly accurate. But his opponents become gun shy early, his power puts them in a shell so his fights become under whelming. He won't be in an interesting fight until someone can avoid his power or stick to their game plan after tasting it.

He has many strategies at his disposal, including but not limited to; decapitate, obliterate, atomise and expunge.

He hasn't fought elite level boxers of these types that your talking about, punchers, boxers, pressure fighters, so I'd still be interested to see if he can beat them using his versatility.

    versatility :huh

He's fought the same limited B & C levelers over and over.

He hasn't been presented with a varied range of styles to prove his versatility.

A slick Cuban southie was available to him and he wanted nothing to do with him.

Oh please. A slick fighter is easy work for Golovkin. Cut the ring and hammer. Easy work.

I want to see Golovkin fight someone who can slip punches in the pocket and deliver sharp counters. Someone who can gain his respect.

He wanted no part of him. His actions over rule your opinion.

    I'm right , you're wrong.

No you're wrong. Its politics. Boxing isn't just as simple as sign the paper and make the fights.

Once again GGG feasts on slick fighters. Cut the ring and obliterate.

Unless the opponent has power then it won't gain his respect. If GGG eats up the shots he will just continue his pressure.

Tend to agree with the critics on this one. We'll know more when he fights someone with half a pulse.

No , it is that simple. Its only politics when one guy doesn't want it.

He doesn't. He ducks them. He feasts on C levelers and puffed up welters.

Geez are we back to Lara again?

So Golovkin clubs Lara into chop suey and then what?

"Oh, he was a little guy, he picks on midgets" etc

For my money Monroe gives Lara a hard night out.
