There are guys out there with better technique and who may be physically stronger, so what exactly makes him and others such as Golovkin and Kovalev so dangerous? Matthysse at first glance doesn't seem to be hitting any harder than many other fighters (see the first Peterson knockdown) but it seems only the slightest touch is needed to send a man to the canvas. Where does that power come from that so many other fighters find impossible to find?
He can thank his mom basically. Still odd how he never got Judah out of there. and don't give me that first time on the big stage BS either.
Matthssse hits like a truck -- PERIOD! No fighter or trainer's ever been able ta figure what makes a fighter punch harder...It's the Holy Grail.
Can't bring Danny to mind, but unless he's fast as a whippet (hand 'n foot), he'll look like he stepped on the third rail if Lucas even nudges him with either hand.
Although it's no great achievement John, Danny Garcia starched Amir Khan a year or two ago, hit him with some bombs. We could argue there might be a puncher's chance in there for him against Lucas.
