I believe Mayweather should outclass Pacquaio when they fight, however, I have noticed that Mayweather is not his best when fighting southpaws and is hittable. I think this factor makes a Pacqauaio victory plausible. What do you thinK Mayweather's gameplan, as well as Pacuaqioas gameplan will be in this fight.

I think Paquaio will have success early,he will hit Mayweawhter with hooks that he does not see ccoming, but Mayweather hopefully will adjust and should win 8-4 using his high guard attack. He will punish Pacquaio with right hands and hooks while Pacquaio struggles to mount an effective attack. Pacquaio may get stopped late, and I say this only because of how horrible he looked after the Clottey fight, a fight which he dominated and seemingly took little punishment.

Mayweather is pretty overrated. Look at how close he fought Castillo twice, yet a pretty overwhelming majority of people think he would beat a prime Julio Cesar Chavez.

You know, he claims that he's the best so often that it's starting to get to people's heads.

i'm a ******* and I think its perfectly fine if people think Mayweather wins this fight easily.

Factor in his size, reach, defense and it makes perfectly sense. People forget about the intangibles though. Something that the bookies tend to overlook.

Please explain to me what you think are the 'intangibles' in this fight.

Mayweather simply has the size, speed, defence, and skills to not only withstand pac, but to counter, outbox and control enough of the fight to win imo.

Pretty much i look at it like this....

Youve got Pac and JMM right, with JMM countering Pacs brilliant offence abilities with his skills, counterpunching and timing... to make a fairly even pair HEAD TO HEAD.

Take that, add some more skill, add speed, add strength, add size, add a better defense and some more IQ and you get Mayweather....

I just dont see Pac taking this.

That being said.... i will be rooting for him hardcore to do so! Great fighters rise beyond expectations, like pac has done time, and time, and time again.... if he did it with one of the best fighters of this generation, then it would leave me stunned, but in a good way.

    War Pac

No offense, but I dont think Maywether is overrated, people could easily point to Paquaio's fights with Marquez, or his loss to Morales and call him overrated.

I think stylistically, Pacquaio is just difficult for Mayweather, after watching his fights with lesser southpaws, I am not entirely convinced of a Mayweather victory, but after seeing him destory Mosley and Marquez, as well as his masterpiecce performances in lower weight classes, I believe he should beat Pacquaio using his technical skills, adjustments, and athleticism.

I was one of those who believed Mayweahter would be JCC simply because JCC lost and/or struggled with fighters of Mayweather's style and calibor.

I've heard that Pacquaio was drained in these fights.

You can say that and you can also say that Pacquiao lost 2 times against Marquez... And speaking of JMM, he said in an interview that Floyd would pick apart Pac. The man that has been in the ring with both.

Going back to the thread, I think Floyd's reach, slickness, ring IQ and size will be too much for Pac.

both got their different intangibles and I think Mayweather even has more than Pacquiao up to this point. Its definitely an uphill battle for pacman.

I'd list them but I can't as I'm sworn to secrecy.

Well neither fight "Euro level" fighters so it's a toss-up.

You are right, plenty of people are picking Pacquaio, but I don't really see a lot of credible posters picking Pacquaio. Most unanimously favor Mayweather. Even journalists and sports writers overwhelmingly favor Mayweather

The casual fan, I believe, is picking Pacquaio. But experts are picking Mayweather.

    It is a no brainer.

how does pac deal with floyd's movement? pac is a volume puncher. when he lands his combinations that's when he becomes most effective. at this point, i can't see how pac lands his shots with floyd's movement alone. he tends to dip low or move his body quickly at angles you can't hit. he also uses his elbows a lot. factor in his fast hands and counterpunching skills, its going to be a long night for pac.

i am a ******* but at this point i recognize floyd is going to be a very difficult fight.

But I have not seen Mayweather employ this dynamic movement in his fights with southpaws, particulary when fighting Judah. I didn't see as much dipping, bobbing, and weaving as compared to his fights with Marquez and Mosley.
